Hey there

So, here’s the deal—after a massive amount of sweat, tears, and honestly, way too much money spent on gym memberships and meal prep, I finally managed to drop 20 pounds. It feels great, mostly, but now I’m running into this annoying little issue. Everything else is fine, but obviously, my skin isn't exactly snapping back the way it should be, and I’ve ended up with these stretch marks running right down my stomach. I was wondering if anyone knows of any specific creams or supplements you can pick up at a place like CVS or Walgreens that actually help with skin elasticity? Any advice would be huge. Thanks😉

I guess you shouldn't have rushed the weight loss so fast. Maybe it helps to pamper yourself with some massages while you're at it... and definitely don't skip the workouts!
Just use any body lotion you've got lying around. I feel like those fancy firming creams are way overpriced and probably work just as well as the generic stuff from Target..
Personally, I think olive or almond oil works pretty great too.

Stopped by DM today. I think they have some Reese stuff out—they used to just do hair care, but now they've got body products too—for firmer skin $17

Thanks, honestly, messaging that guy on DM sounds like a solid plan. To be real with you, I’ve been a big guy my entire life, and now that I’ve finally shed all that extra weight, my skin is obviously left feeling pretty loose. It actually scares me a little, thinking maybe it won't ever fully tighten back up—you know how it goes. When I'm just standing upright, everything looks relatively fine, but the second I lean forward, that bit of belly I still have left starts to hang, and I can’t tell if it’s fat or just excess skin that hasn't caught up yet, if you catch my drift. If that area were actually taut, I'd look a whole lot better. Anyway, I hit the gym regularly and spend plenty of time out on the local ball fields.😉 Mainly, thanks. 🙂

I’ve actually dealt with the exact same thing after losing over 45 pounds. I picked up some Balea firming cream from DM, and it was less than $10. I only apply it every few days, but I can definitely tell my skin feels softer and smoother—though whether it actually tightens up remains to be seen. Since Balea is a house brand for DM, you won't find it in any other stores.

I’ve been browsing websites for tummy tuck surgery lately. Honestly, it’s a total nightmare how much those procedures cost... the prices are just insane.

To be perfectly honest, I have my doubts about seeing any major results from just using a cream; the changes might be pretty minimal, but please let me know if you start noticing any real progress.

I guess you might actually see some results if you're younger...
Skin should basically just renew itself naturally over time, I suppose. But honestly, I think massages and working out are probably the most important parts. Maybe using those facial rollers too, or even dry brushing before you hop in the shower—it’s all about getting that circulation going, I guess.

Maybe try alternating between hot and cold water in the shower

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

I just realized what a silly mistake I made in my last post. What the author actually meant was: It’s a disaster how expensive this is, and the scarring after those kinds of surgeries can be really awful.
