So... here we go...

For about a year now, I've been dealing with these purple bruises popping up on my feet multiple times a day, and occasionally they show up elsewhere on my body, regardless of how cold it is or how healthy I’ve been feeling lately. It all started with my feet, but then it spread to my ankles (which honestly looks pretty terrible), my hips, and my arms. I tried to snap some photos so you guys could get a clearer idea of what I'm talking about, but the camera just isn't cooperating at all 😬 .

Another thing—and this might be a separate issue entirely—is that I woke up with four or five red welts on my right leg that seemingly appeared overnight.

Does anyone have any clues as to what might be going on?

Thanks 🙂

So, I was reading this story about how one doctor ordered a routine complete blood count, and apparently, another colleague nearly had a full-blown meltdown when she saw the results. 😬

So, what’s the deal with the blood work? Like, what does it actually look like?
Did you end up seeing a dermatologist or what?

So, I'm heading in for some bloodwork tomorrow, since I haven't actually made it to a dermatologist yet. I have this nagging suspicion that whatever is going on might be showing up in my labs, but honestly, the way it looks on my skin right now is just... well, it's pretty catastrophic. It’s looking less like a minor skin issue and more like those gruesome post-mortem discolorations you see in crime dramas.

Yeah, fair enough—nothing really matters until you see the photo...
I was actually talking about seeing a dermatologist, you know? Like, if those "spots" start itching, hurting, stinging, or if they're raised at all...

So, basically... I went in for some imaging, and my doctor actually told me I’m cleared to fly commercial again, which is a relief 😬
But there's this catch where my bilirubin levels are sitting at 27.3, and she's honestly still scratching her head about the cause; it's just this weird discoloration right on the surface of my skin, yet there isn't any sign of an allergy, hives, or purpura or anything like that
She did mention that, I suppose, it's not exactly a great sign regardless, so she suggested I check in with my OB-GYN—just to see if there might be some connection to birth control, even though this whole thing started well before I ever picked up a pill—and she warned me that if this keeps up, I might end up with broken capillaries all over my body. :zbunjeni:

I'm dealing with the same thing... mostly around my joints, and yeah, it looks pretty nasty. It’s been going on for years now. I've had blood work done a bunch of times, but everything comes back totally fine. Keep me posted, I'm actually really curious to see if you figure out the cause...
