Just watched some random documentary on YouTube, and it’s pretty wild how that plane went down. There isn't even a wreck to be found, just tiny little fragments scattered everywhere.

It slammed into the ground; debris was recovered and driven meters deep into the dirt. There was definitely an airplane involved. It didn't just glide onto a runway; people actually died.
The movie is based on cockpit transcripts and eyewitness accounts (including families talking to victims over the phone).

The film is actually quite good—it captures those agonizing moments and the total chaos perfectly—but two things really stood out to me as misses.
First, there's this "lone dissenter" character who's against everyone. That felt like a cheap move by the filmmakers. I think even the families had complaints about it.
Second, it feels a bit stripped down. The movie leaves too many details on the cutting room floor.
All in all, it’s worth a watch. I honestly hope someone eventually makes a proper feature film about what happened in New York, told from several different perspectives. We have plenty of pseudo-documentary adaptations, but that's not the same thing. We need something full-length, raw, and gut-wrenching—and ideally, the profits should go directly to the families who lost their providers.
