So I've been scrolling through the forum and thinking it’d be pretty cool to start a thread about all those powerhouse vitamins tucked away in fruits and veggies...

Right now, I'm totally leaning on beets because I am just wiped out. They're loaded with vitamins, and they’re awesome for anemia since that red pigment—whatever the science term is—helps keep your red blood cells in check, even if the iron levels aren't massive...
Plus, they're killer for digestion. A single beet gives you about a fifth of your daily fiber needs...

Anyway, that's my take. Drop some of your grandma's old-school kitchen remedies below 🙂
Anything is better than wasting money on those fake synthetic supplements 🙂

As far as I'm concerned, apples and onions are the gold standard when it comes to vitamins.

However, I’m a firm believer in the "more is better" philosophy. Beyond just eating whole foods, I supplement heavily with multivitamins, minerals, Vitamin C, iron, calcium, B12, Vitamin D, and a few other essentials. That's my regimen.

ugh 😬

I am a total disaster when it comes to pills. Like, zero memory of ever taking them, plus I'd honestly rather not have to swallow all that stuff... 🙄

So I just try to eat as much good, healthy food as possible instead. 👍

Forget the pills; you've got to eat a diverse, healthy diet
(get some veggies, grains, lean poultry, fish, whatever else
) if you want to actually stay healthy. Personally, I've been drinking noni juice
every single day for about a month now, combined with this kind of eating plan and some moderate exercise
and honestly, I feel fantastic.
(I finally bounced back from those nasty bugs that wiped me out mid-fall
when my immune system was basically non-existent)

If you take too much vitamin C, your body just flushes it out through your urine—so it's kind of a waste of money... plus, taking way too much can actually be toxic. Other vitamins are fine, I guess... though I heard Vitamin B might cause weight gain :/ I'm skeptical... but does anyone know for sure?

B vitamins don't actually make you gain fat, they just tend to kick your appetite into overdrive
from what I’ve gathered, it’s a common recommendation for athletes who are
trying to bulk up
