a) they just suck at playing
b) their lyrics are trash
c) you hate their whole aesthetic

h) you don't actually know why
i) you liked them back when only two people knew they existed... but now 👎

There’s a whole list of subjective reasons why

-I think they play well enough, but they don't have a single ounce of punk rock in them😬—they just feel flat to me, totally two-dimensional, like Tony Cetinsky or Robbie Williams... just a polished pop product

But what really grates on me is how they've taken music that is essentially honest, fun, smart, and still punk... you know, the kind of stuff bands like Google make... which makes them feel slimy to me,

And objectively speaking, I haven't heard a single decent pop song from them, nor do they sound particularly clever
Now for the stupid, petty reasons

They come off as the ultimate indie snobs to me🙂—look, I'm not a violent guy, but if I ever actually laid someone out in my life, it would be the lead singer of Facebook.... there are incredibly few people who are this irritating just by looking at them.......the vocals irritate me, and the band name is an absolute disaster

Because honestly, I'd much rather have Hot Hot Heat in their spot.........smarter, more fun, way more original music

Just like how I wish instead of Coldplay, we had Thrills, who are a far superior band

Bloc Party is probably the worst foreign band name ever, I can't stand the vocals and they sound completely recycled. But you have to admit, they make smarter, higher-energy music than Facebook.

I formed my opinion on Facebook the second I saw them on MTV when they were playing on loop—all these almost identical bands, but Facebook stood out to me immediately as being terrible........and then a few months later, they broke through with that one song

But honestly? Neither of them is ever going to drop an album nearly as legendary as, say, Turn It Up. 🙂
