An absolute masterpiece.

Man, this is easily the best QOTSA record they've ever put out. 😕

Take a look at what’s going on over in Mondo Bizarro! 😬

Absolute masterpiece.

It’s honestly the last one you can listen to from start to finish without getting distracted. Plus, they're dropping deluxe, remastered, and expanded versions of the second and third albums later this year. 🙂

I wasn't even sure if people thought QOTSA was a weaker band, but seeing everyone here dragging them, I figured I'd just go with the flow and join the crowd. 😬

Susan Clark10 said:I’m really feeling this album... honestly, it’s got the best versions of 'Lovesong', 'Fascination Street', and 'Pictures of You' I've ever heard... 🙂

Whatever. All that dreamy, trippy stuff is basically designed to be stretched out into ten-minute chunks just so it can drone on forever. Honestly, the longer they let it drag, the better... 😉

I'm about to go put on Mixed up. No distractions allowed...

Look, it’s not total garbage like Audioslave, obviously. It just feels hollow to me.

Dee Pea said:pips chips & videoclips - drvece i rijeke (honestly, I'd say it's the most American album ever made... and the main thing is that the critics just trashed it and ignored it... I don't know a single soul who actually likes that record... but to me, it's practically a masterpiece)

Oh, please, there are maybe twenty of us left..
.
.
Here are a few of our own:

pcvc - drveće i rijeke (it's honestly a miracle if you can even get someone to sit down and listen to that album)
let3 - bombardiranje srbije i čačka (most indie snobs think it's total garbage)
pun kufer - mame & bebe (everyone thinks Biffel is an idiot, but he's really just being expressive—and this album is "practically a masterpiece" for him, give or take a bit)

There's also
Pere Ubu - Song of the Bailing Man (I still can't quite wrap my head around why people label this one as a bad album...)
Pixies - Trompe Le Monde (If this wasn't the Pixies, I bet it would be getting all the praise, if you ask me)
Pavement - Brighten the Corners
Stephen Malkmus - Pig Lib 😍 (See what I mean about Pere Ubu)
The Jesus Lizard - Blue (Did I mention this one already?)

if people hate it, let 'em die.

Yeah, I totally agree that Full House is an underrated band that gets ridiculed way too much. I respect them because they don't try too hard or fake their vibe, but honestly, you could probably combine three of their albums into one decent record and call it a day.
I just keep them in my "solid misses" drawer. They've got some really great tracks here and there, sure...

Basil said:Pulp's last one, *We Love Life*, gets zero respect, but honestly? It's right up there with their first three masterpieces for me.

Yeah, whatever. Same old story. 👍 👍 👍
Pretty solid to me. 🙏

Not exactly the topic I had in mind, but whatever, let's roll with it:
zero. said:ff - honestly, you could've done way better than that.
Self-proclaimed experts think the first one’s better, but this one just straight up kicks ass!

I like this one better than the first—it’s more consistent, which I dig. But it’s still missing something. 🙂
Same deal with Interpol, I think someone already brought that up...

Why even bring up Sandinist? That album’s got a massive cult following... 🤔

Since David Bowie. I love it. Labyrint soundtrack. 😍And nobody else even likes him. 😢
Pulp, like I said before... 😍
All those Velvet Underground tracks that just aren't considered cult classics. 😁
i Hail to the thief by Radiohead...
Pearl Jam's Incesticide.
Looks like that's it, right off the bat.

Alicia Keys - Voyage to the USA. I have no idea why. It’s nothing special... yet I find myself listening to the whole thing every single time.

Go check AllMusic... they gave it a pathetic two and a half stars.
We don't actually have that many Sandinista fans.
So yeah, we aren't registering the association...
