Word on the street is they’re filming a new gem from the Nile starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner (Rose's war remains my all-time favorite black comedy)...
Personally, I'd much rather see a new Evil Dead instead of a remake—especially since it looks like Sam Raimi won't be involved—where Ash ends up in the future fighting cyber-zombies. Ideally, they'd bring back Bruce Campbell for the lead, even if he claims he's too old for it now...
And honestly, give me a sequel to Escape from New York or Los Angeles titled Snake's Revenge. 🙂 It needs Kurt Russell to truly work. 🙂

Who knows. I hate to be the killjoy here, but how many of these projects are actually happening? Or are we just looking at more IMDb entries listed under "pre-production," which is usually industry shorthand for "never going to happen."

Honestly, looking at this now, it doesn't even feel like a cult classic sequel to me—it feels more like a remake.🙂 God, I hate remakes.

I’d honestly much rather they just greenlit another Friday the 13th sequel. Eleven films on the subject clearly wasn't enough...🙂

They should just start with a remake of the original, then spend the next few years systematically remaking the rest of them... 😂 😂

Ugh, not me, honestly. I just don't think there's anyone out there who could actually pull that off without making it a total mess... those books are kind of... unfilmable... plus, I have this nagging fear that at least one of them would end up casting Vin Diesel...

Hmm... though, I guess the Sky Lords people were more than willing to give it a shot... and it's a trilogy, which seems to be what everyone is into these days anyway 😁

Alien vs. Predator is terrible, and sequels usually just go downhill from there, so I'll pass on that. I don't think Alien will ever top the second installment unless they somehow manage to pit Marines against Aliens in some massive, all-out war. 😁
As for Blade 4, I highly doubt they'll even make it; from what I gather, Blade 3 was meant to be the end of the trilogy, which is actually what it says right there on the DVD cover 😕
That leaves us with Predator, but honestly, without Schwarzenegger, it just isn't the same. 😢

Did you seriously miss that? They said the exact same thing about the final Friday the 13th installments, and we ended up with eleven of them...😬
