McAfee vs. McAfee 9

Both options work. Personally, I’ve been using McAfee for ages and I’m sticking with them since it’s what I know. Some of the Norton setups I looked at didn't seem bad either... but I'll stay put. The competition isn't really giving me a reason to switch just yet.
Do a bit more digging first. Check some tech mags or whatever... then decide.
Hm... price matters too, obviously.😉

I’ve been running McAfee version 1.5 for a while now, and honestly, I haven't run into a single issue. It’s been smooth sailing. Contrast that with my experience using Norton, which was nothing but constant, massive headaches... and don't even get me started on the updates. Back then, Norton would try to push through definition updates that were nearly 60MB, whereas McAfee kept things at a tiny 100kb. When you're stuck dealing with a sluggish 56k modem, those little differences actually matter quite a bit.

I have never encountered a single issue with it... quite the opposite of my experience with McAfee 😁

So, I ran a scan with McAfee after letting Norton run the show for a year, and it came up totally clean. Either Norton is doing its job perfectly, or McAfee just missed everything. Thanks for nothing, McAfee—you're just a trial version anyway. Why bother running two when one does the trick? Even my nephew could tell me that.

Norton is clearly the winner here...
