God help us, after how incredibly stupid that first movie was, I can't believe someone actually felt motivated enough to make a sequel🙂

The movie was a total disaster. Honestly, it was boring enough to be painful. Two of my buddies actually fell asleep in the theater (not kidding, they had a few too many drinks before 😁). Aside from a couple of decent scenes—like the one where the little girl climbs out of the well—there’s nothing there. 👎

I finally sat down to watch it, and honestly, I’m left wondering—why all the vitriol? If this were actually a garbage movie, I’d get the backlash, but it isn't. Even if I’ll admit the first one holds up a bit better.
Is it possible everyone just had impossibly high expectations for a sequel?

Honestly, given how much people trashed it, I actually thought the movie was pretty decent while I was watching it.

Yawn... honestly, even a cat wouldn't sit through this movie. It’s such a shame they didn't just move straight to filming the sequel instead—this one was just painfully dull and completely uninspired. And that kid playing her son? Either he's genuinely clueless, or the director coached him to play an absolute moron... yawn...

I didn't catch the first one, and honestly, this second one is kind of a letdown. Just like a few people already mentioned: it feels pretty soulless.

Nakata basically took a hybrid of Ring 1 and Dark Waters, slapped the name Ring 2 on it, and ended up with something incredibly underwhelming.

While I consider myself someone who can stomach just about anything... Ring 2 is actually a pretty terrible movie.

The movie was terrible. At least for me.
I thought the first one was great—actually engaging and fun—but this? It was so tedious and drawn out I had to fight the urge to just fall asleep.

Boring, boring, boring. My brother and I were practically nodding off in our armchairs, and it wasn't even 4 PM. Even though the plot is technically different, it’s just a mindless retread of the first movie. It isn't scary, and it definitely isn't interesting. It just recycles the same stupid tropes from the original. A total waste of $4.00.

Personally, I found it quite acceptable 😳 (though I only watched the American version)
It actually surpassed the first installment for me—even though when I watched both the American and Japanese-American versions of the original, the latter felt superior to me)
As for that other one, it was absolutely terrifying... perhaps I’m just a bit of a coward😢

But if we are being honest, The Conjuring was far more chilling😱
In fact, I spent my entire first night after watching that film sleeping with the lights turned on 😱

This movie is just masterfully awful... I barely managed to stay awake until the credits rolled... congrats to the director though, Hideo actually pulled off A terrible movie but it's on stage 👍 👍

But man, that scene with the deer 😂 😂... I was literally laughing my head off... what's next on the menu? Psychopathic squirrels... angry beavers... 🤣

So, I finally decided to sit down and watch the movie. It’s decent enough—not amazing, but I wouldn't say it's better than the first one. For me, the first installment was much more unsettling because of the mystery surrounding how that tape actually kills you and where it comes from, whereas by the second part, you already know the drill, so it loses some of that tension.

And honestly, I don't really get why everyone here is being such a baby about it being bad.
