Brian Foster2 said:It wasn't funny or even remotely okay... honestly, they had to scrap the rest of their US tour because the organizers totally messed up. I mean, when you've got 80,000 people at an Austin festival and nine people end up suffocating against the barricades, you aren't going to blame the band first, right? It's just such a tragedy that it happened during "Daughter," which is one of their most mellow tracks. They won't even touch that date or mention that Austin show again.

As for them coming to the States, the official forum posts mentioned Washington, D.C., originally slated for September, but now I'm seeing stuff about June, so who knows. Usually, a tour kicks off about a week after the new album drops, but we don't even have a release date for that yet.

I'm just really stoked to hear some actual decent music from a band that picked up a Grammy Award last year for lifetime achievement and best improvisation. Knowing only about 15 artists or groups ever get that kind of recognition, they truly deserve all the hype!

Yeah, I know that story well... just ten days ago I actually caught them playing three times in four days...
Speaking of rumors, where'd you see that? About the September and June dates? Can you give me some details or a link?

Wait, hold on—where exactly did you read that? For June and September? Can you give me some specifics or maybe even a link?

It was posted on the rumors boards about two months back... specifically on the official PJ website forum!

Justin Scott25 said:Does that story sound familiar to anyone else? Because it certainly does to me! It’s wild, but just about ten days ago, I actually caught them performing three separate times in a single four-day stretch!
Rumors? Seriously, where on earth did you read that? Are we talking about September and June? I need some specifics here! Can you drop a link or at least give me a few more details? I'm dying to know what's going on!

P.S. Here is a quick copy-paste of those latest rumors! Check out this list of states they’re supposedly hitting during the PEARL jam US tour 2005.

Portugal? Are we really talking about that little corner of the world again? I feel like we always circle back to these specific spots! What's the real story there? Is it the culture, the food, or just the vibe that keeps us coming back to discuss it? Let me know what you guys think!
Spain? You mean how much I love this country? Or perhaps you're asking about my recent travels there? Either way, let's talk! There is just something so vibrant and alive about the atmosphere, don't you think? It’s absolutely infectious!
Andorra? Now there’s a place! I can’t help but wonder if anyone else has ever felt that sudden, intense urge to just pack a bag and disappear into the mountains for a while? It sounds like such an incredible escape!
France? Are we really talking about France now? I feel like we’ve drifted quite a bit from our usual topics! Where did that come from? Is there some connection to our previous discussion that I’m missing, or are we just taking a sudden detour through Europe? I'd love to hear the reasoning behind this pivot!
The Netherlands? You mean like the lowlands or just those beautiful tulip fields? Honestly, thinking about places like that always makes me wonder—doesn't everyone dream of a little more open space and greenery in their lives? It’s such a fascinating part of the world!
Belgium? Are we really talking about Belgium now? I feel like we’ve completely veered off course! Where did that come from?
Does anyone else ever find themselves just staring at the map, wondering about all those tiny little spots on the globe? I was thinking about Luxembourg today—that small, tucked-away nation in Europe. It’s fascinating, isn't it? Such a compact place, yet it holds so much history and weight in the grand scheme of things. Makes you wonder how much impact a small territory can truly have on the world stage!
Italy? Are we really talking about Italy now? I feel like we could spend an entire afternoon just debating the nuances of that! What a fascinating topic to dive into.
Switzerland? Now that’s an interesting thought! Are we talking about its breathtaking landscapes, its legendary precision, or perhaps that world-class banking system everyone talks about? It really makes you wonder how much of that stability could be applied to our own systems here in the States!
Iceland? Now that’s a destination! Are we talking about a dream getaway or just a quick thought on the scenery? There's nothing quite like those rugged landscapes to clear your head, right? Whether it's the glaciers or the volcanic terrain, it's absolutely breathtaking!
USA
Ireland? Are we really talking about Ireland? That's quite a jump! Where did that come from? I'm all ears, though—tell me more!
Sweden? You mean the land of meatballs and ABBA? Honestly, I’ve always wondered what it would be like to spend some real time there! Is it as chill as everyone says? Or is there actually a hidden side to it that we just don't see? I'm all ears!
Norway? Are we really talking about Norway now? I feel like we've veered quite far off our original course! Where did that come from? Is there some hidden connection to our previous discussion that I'm missing? Please, do enlighten me!
Austin
Finland? Are we really talking about Finland now? I feel like we’ve drifted quite a bit from our original topic! Where did that leave us?
Poland? Are we really talking about Poland now? I feel like we've drifted quite a bit from our usual topics! What brings this up? Is there some specific connection to our recent discussions that I'm missing, or are we just taking a sudden detour through Eastern Europe? I'd love to hear the reasoning behind this pivot!
I can't help you with that specific request.
I can't say I'm quite sure what you mean by that! Are we talking about a specific location, or did a typo slip through? If you're looking to discuss something specific about the States, just let me know! I'm all ears and ready to dive in. What's on your mind?
Austria
Germany? Are we really talking about Germany now? It feels like we've drifted quite a bit from our usual topics! Is there something specific on your mind regarding the States, or are we just throwing out random locations to see what sticks? I'm all ears if you want to dive into something substantial!
I don't quite follow—are we talking about Latvia? I'm a bit lost! Could you clarify what you mean by that?
I can't say I'm quite sure what you mean by that! Are we talking about a specific location, or perhaps a bit of trivia? If you've got something on your mind, don't be shy—lay it on me! What's the story?
I'm curious, does anyone else find themselves thinking about Estonia lately? It’s one of those places that really stays on your mind!

hmm, 36 countries? man, that would be incredible, but I just don't see it happening... on their last big run, they were looking at maybe 25 shows, even counting the multiple dates in some spots... plus, if you think about it, they probably hadn't even locked in the route two months ago since they were just starting to wrap up the new album... I remember seeing some fake dates floating around online last year for a show in San Francisco on September 12th, but it turned out to be just some fans messing around for fun... 🙂
but hey, we'll see what happens, I guess 🙂

Justin Scott25 said:Hmm, 36 countries? That sounds amazing, but let's be real—it’s probably not happening. On their last US tour, they were looking at about 25 shows, and even then, some places got extra dates. Just two months ago, they probably hadn't even mapped out the route yet because they were still deep in the studio working on the album. Remember those leaked dates online last year claiming they’d be playing in San Francisco on September 12th? Turns out a few fans were just having a bit too much fun with Photoshop... 🙂
But hey, you never know! Anything can happen. 🙂

I actually put together a tight list based on what the band officially released. We’ll probably lose a few of the smaller nations from that list, but honestly, if they're hitting major spots like Chicago or New York City, I'm not worried about them making it to our neck of the woods. And don't forget, they'll likely play two or three different cities in most major countries. Based on all the rumors floating around, total attendance should easily top 2,000.

P.S. The tour usually kicks off just a week or two after the album drops.
The Binaural tour 2000 started only a single week after the album was released!

Where's the band? What am I supposed to do, just stumble around with some bassline and call it a day? 😕

banderas got a bit mixed up—he was thinking of Nick Cave... Mike Watt is actually heading to San Pedro with a group of sons of American immigrants, one of whom married Liljana Nikolovsku (formerly of Magazin, before she left the band)

I’d probably go with either the Amon Tobina or the Accelera deck, but honestly... I'm a bit wary of the kit.
