Anyone buying DVDs on eBay?

I managed to track down a DVD copy of "Malcolm & Marie" from a vendor based out of Korea 🙂.
The audio tracks are all there—it features various regional dialects 🙂—but the subtitles are strictly Korean. Despite what the packaging claims about having English subs, you can’t actually toggle them on or off when you play it.
It was a steal, honestly, just a few bucks... 😁
It’s wild because people are actually asking for way more money for used VHS tapes of this same movie!!
Does anyone here have any insight into what other classic films from the old territories might be floating around Asian markets besides "No Country"? Thanks... 👋

Seriously—don't skip that step. And even if the final price looks reasonable after you factor everything in, there’s one more thing: if you actually win the auction, make sure you request that they mark the package as a "gift." If you don't do that, you're basically gambling with customs fees—and trust me, nobody wants an unexpected bill from the government landing on their doorstep.
When it comes to settling up—and I mean really settling the bill—if we’re talking about doing business here in America, there is only one way to go: a Money order. It’s simple, it’s direct, and it works. Honestly, if a vendor or a company won't even touch a Money order, then you might as well just pack up your things and walk away—you're officially out of the game. No point in wasting time on people who don't play by the standard rules.

Look, living here in Germany, shipping across Europe usually runs me about 5 US dollars for the first DVD, and then you just tack on an extra 2 dollars for every additional disc you add to the order.
The starting price for this particular DVD was listed at 2.99, but I ended up paying 6 dollars total... I settled the bill via PayPal and the DVD arrived all the way from Seoul in just seven days. At the exact same time, I picked up something else from a seller in the Netherlands; that guy shipped it out the very same day and it also took seven days to reach me, whereas over here 😳

I honestly can't tell if PayPal plays favorites against members from America—they really ought to be more accommodating toward the buyers—but you absolutely have to have a credit card to make it work!
I remember back a few years ago using BidPay to bid on auctions in places like Mexico or Canada... that system is actually quite popular throughout Eastern Europe (basically, once you've accumulated enough funds in your BidPay account, you place an order and they release your payout via Western Union)!
Since PayPal acquired eBay, they've been aggressively pushing their own payment system. It’s perfectly fine for the buyer, but for the seller, they shave off a percentage plus a fixed fee, so you always end up walking away with 5% less than what the guy actually sent you.
