Is anyone planning on being in Washington, D.C., at Atlantic City on March 15th? I heard a rumor that there might be something happening out in San Francisco too, but honestly, nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
If it doesn't happen out West, I guess I don't really have much of a choice—it's a straight shot to D.C. for me. I am seriously looking forward to it!
Does anyone happen to have any more concrete details than I do?

Look, I’m not usually one for those guitar gods, but this guy looks like he stepped straight out of Ozzy's lineup!
He's no ordinary Joe, let alone some high-end Glamour act..
The way he plays... it's like watching a master mason at work, just totally unrestrained!
Not to get too carried away here, but he handles that instrument like a pro—taking it to a whole new level with incredible speed.
I honestly can't wait. Even if I have to dream it, I need to catch him live, no matter where he's playing! 😁 🙏

Besides, just the sheer amount of 'm' sounds in his name is enough to soothe a cold soul, just a steady, humming "mmmm"

I'm honestly counting down the days—my mind is already halfway to Atlantic City...

March 15th, obviously, for those out of the loop, but Atlantic City is still playing dumb about the tickets. They seriously should’ve kicked sales off two weeks before the show—which is actually today—but they don't have a clue what's going on (total amateur hour) 😕

I was out in San Francisco last night at the local community center over on Martha's Vineyard for one of his shows. Honestly, the man is brilliant—he’s basically a walking, breathing GDP-level certified guitarist, all thanks to the influence of Chet Atkins.

You really should go see him if you get the chance—it’s an absolute MUST.🙏

The guy is probably the best living guitarist, period. I caught his show last year and he was literally legendary. I even have a few DVDs of his concerts and studio stuff, so yeah, I'm a huge fan...

Word is the D.C. show will be at the Aquarius, which was supposed to kick off yesterday with tickets already out, but nothing happened. They aren't giving out any info either—pretty arrogant if you ask me.

Listen up, because I’ve got the lowdown for all you weirdos out there who just "heard" about Tommy!

Tickets go on sale this Monday at Aquarius music stores for $15, or you can grab them at the door for about $17!

So, I made it out to Cleveland to catch the show at the local arena near Mackinac Island. I was there last year too, and man, I really hope they pull this off again next year. Sadly, because my bank account is looking a little thin right now, I could only make it to the first of the two nights, but if they organize it again in future years, I am definitely going to every single thing they offer!

I’d love to make it to the one in Washington, D.C., too, but I’m honestly on the fence. Getting a ride from Cleveland is a bit of a headache, and I don't really have a place to crash... *sniff* 😢 😢

Wait, did someone mention there's a DVD available? Does anyone know how I might be able to track that down? I’ve got a few CDs myself...

I caught his show in Cleveland recently... the guy is a straight-up genius. He’s got that massive global superstar aura, though I know we tend to be skeptical when someone rolls into the States like they own the place. Honestly, he’s here almost every year because he’s tight with that local guitar virtuoso, Hal. The man is a pure showman; he can have you laughing one minute and in tears the next within five minutes flat. He plays with 100% soul, doing things on that guitar that defy logic—I found myself staring at him the same way people used to stare at Hendrix fifty years ago. He isn't just a guitarist, either; he handles drums and bass too. If you listen to a recording, you'd swear there were three different guitarists playing at once. What really struck me was how he weaves touches of various global cultures into his songs, before finally introducing his own roots, Australia, which was absolutely fascinating. Folks, if you ever get the chance, go see him without fail!!!

Let me try one more time to convince you people to actually show some class!

A close friend of mine is absolutely obsessed with Tommy Emmanuel, and I’ve been dying to surprise her with one of his CDs for her birthday. I’ve spent ages scouring every single music shop in Washington, D.C., but it’s like he doesn't even exist here—either they’ve never heard of him, or they know who he is but don't carry any of his albums at all. Does anyone know where I might be able to track down an original CD? Or, if someone is feeling incredibly generous, would you be willing to rip a copy for me and send it over? I would be so incredibly grateful for any help you could give!

I heard it was incredible. I actually planned on going, but I just didn't have the energy left after seeing Livio Morosin 😵

Last year at the factory was lightyears better than that aquarium crap, honestly, it was even better than that legendary concert DVD in St. Louis. He played way more tunes, the sound was flawless, the setlist was spot on, and the crowd was perfect (unlike the usual trash you get at the aquarium).

I was standing up on the platform on the right side, slightly elevated, and I ended up right next to this crowd that tries to sing along to every single note he hits—it's enough to drive you insane!
What kind of idiot sings along at a show like this?
Then there's all the shouting and constant noise... just awful...

I freaking knew we’d get a crowd like that. The second you don't have seats, you automatically lose the older crowd who actually appreciates this music and the skill being shown right in front of them.
I really hope next year he plays a decent hall, like, please don't let some "Soul Cafe" type outfit book him for another damn tent.
