I think you hit the nail on the head there. My iron levels have always been pretty bottomed out, but I’ve dropped a significant amount of weight lately, so it's highly likely I'm running low on essential vitamins too.🙄

Some people claim this could point to liver issues, while others swear it's an early warning sign for diabetes, or whatever else.🙏

Honestly, don't sweat it... everything is going to be fine.

Your doctor will give you the full rundown... sure, it could theoretically be a liver issue, but if that were the case, you'd be dealing with a whole host of other symptoms first.
Look, I deal with this myself—if you can even call my chronic anemia a "condition"—and the second I started taking supplements, everything started looking up.😉

Sounds like you’ve got classic nail fungus symptoms here.
We're talking thickening, brittleness, those horizontal ridges from cracking, and yellowing.
You probably notice that nasty, acetone-smelling gunk building up underneath when you try to clean them out.

You really need to hit up a doctor so they can run a culture; they have to take a sample from under the nail to make sure you get the right treatment.
Usually, it involves taking pills over a long period, though in milder cases, there's a topical lacquer you apply for about six months.
Good luck, and seriously, hurry up before it spreads to your other nails.

. I bet when you're cleaning under them, there's that gross, stinky buildup that smells like acetone

Mmm.. I don't know, maybe.

But again, my nails aren't brittle or cracking.. And it's not those splitting lines.. It just grows out thick and "wavy," if you know what I mean.. 🤷

I honestly think you're dealing with this because of your winter boots... the moment your toenails grow out even a tiny bit, they start hitting the front of the boots, which ends up warping the whole fit

Yo, does anyone actually know if, say, you lose a toenail... does a new one actually grow back or what???😕

It’ll grow back eventually, don't sweat it.

It’s already fallen out on me twice, and I’ve ended up plucking it four times just to keep up. Every time I pull it, a new one pops up, but it takes about six months—maybe even longer—to actually grow back.

So I’ve been playing soccer, right? And back when we were grinding through the winter, we were out there playing in the actual snow. My feet just froze solid inside my cleats. I had this nagging pain in my big toe for like a month straight, and I honestly just thought my shoes were too small... so naturally, I went out and dropped cash on a brand new pair. Then, a little while later, the nail starts changing color... 😲
heh...

thanks....
