Hey, what was the deal with those American films heading over to New York City? Was it specifically for this festival, or has that happened before? Or is it just rare for any of our stuff to make the cut?😕

Looks like they're bringing "Here" from Ogresta to the Sundance Film Festival. 😁 Nah, I’m gonna pass on that one... honestly, if my memory serves me right, I don't think an American film has even made it into that festival since forever.

Alright, here it is. I don't know about you guys, but I've been staring at this program for way too long—it’s like trying to decipher an ancient script or some overly complicated coding manual. Honestly, just looking at the lineup makes my head spin a little. It's all very ambitious, which is great and all, but sometimes you just want something straightforward, you know? Not that I'm complaining, per se—I just think we need to be realistic about what we can actually digest in one sitting without needing a massive nap afterward. Anyway, just my two cents.

I'm about to dive into a massive pile of movies—including a few Palestinian ones. 😍 So, there’s this one movie—it’s actually based on one of Murakami's stories... titled "Toni Takitani."

Vera Drako is actually the opening film over here...

Man, 2046 is absolutely wild. It’s one of those movies that just completely knocks the wind out of you... like, you'll forget how to breathe, or even how to function, seriously...😁

The style in this thing is next level, and the way the camera moves is just mesmerizing, plus the acting? There's this incredible warmth to everyone on screen, man, I swear once you see 2048 it’s all going to click for you...

This is pure cinema for the true connoisseurs and die-hard movie buffs!

I was just skimming through Variety when I saw this bit about how WKW is currently in some sort of "frenzied re-editing" phase for 2046, apparently because he’s totally dissatisfied with how rushed the process felt for Khan. Can you believe the nerve? They’ve already had to scrap one screening—that massive wrap-up event at the Edinburgh festival... which, let's be honest, is basically a disaster waiting to happen. Now they're claiming the upcoming London showing will essentially serve as a "new" premiere. Ha! What an absolute character. 😁 😁

It honestly feels to me like he just started making this movie without having the slightest clue what he actually wanted to achieve with it.

Honestly, he’s just one of those self-proclaimed "artists" who decides to shoot a film without a coherent script in sight... you know, just winging it based on whatever "inspiration" strikes him in the moment (which is really just code for whatever he can scrape together from what’s left of his budget... which, let’s be real, blew right past 😁 ). Even during the production of 2046, the cast was wandering around completely clueless about what they were supposed to tell reporters regarding the actual plot of the film 😂! And don't even get me started on how a few actors had entire bit parts that WKW ended up cutting out entirely just because he changed his mind!?
But hey, as long as the French government keeps handing him blank checks... why should he care about consistency or logic? 😁

Wong Kar-wai definitely makes the most beautiful movies, hands down 🙂

The film is just stunning, gorgeous, breathtaking, absolutely stunning... 🙂 🙂 🙂))))

And besides being a sequel to In the Mood for Love, 2046 feels like Wong Kar-wai’s own take on Breakfast at Tiffany's or even Blade Runner....

Anyway, I'm heading out...
