Looney Tunes: Back in Action

Regarding the Looney Tunes—I recently sat down and binged a bunch of them, and it’s glaringly obvious how much better the Bob Clampett or Chuck Jones shorts are compared to the stuff from Freleng or McKimson.

I couldn't agree more.

And don't even get me started on Tex Avery. I picked up two DVDs of Tex Avery's Droopy, only to find out there are just three Tex shorts on there... total scam.😠

Honestly, Chuck Jones is my absolute favorite. Even when I was just seven years old, I could tell his cartoons hit different, long before I even cared about directors or whatever 😬

I caught that one too. It isn't bad, and there’s definitely some humor in there... but Steve Martin just rubbed me the wrong way. For me, he was a bit much. That whole exaggerated act of his just felt over the top.

Back in the day, Looney Tunes were a daily staple. Nowadays, kids don't even know who Zekoslav is... It's pathetic.

I just sat through Bah Humduck: A Looney Tunes Christmas—which was titled something ridiculous over here—and honestly? It’s terrible. Just plain awful. It feels completely disconnected from the DNA of the original Looney Tunes...

And what does any of that have to do with this movie?

Such an awesome movie! I remember watching it a few years back with my grandma and grandpa when it first aired on TV. We all had such a blast together.
