Best ways to convert PDF to Microsoft Word?

Does anyone happen to know of a free version or perhaps a trial that actually functions at one hundred percent capacity without cutting off half the work mid-process? I’m in a bit of a bind and need this resolved immediately.😁

I’ve been cycling through these various programs since yesterday, but none of them seem capable of performing a full conversion from PDF to Microsoft Word without stripping away either the text or the images. It’s always one or the other, like trying to fix a leaking faucet only to have the sink fall off the wall. The most effective tool I’ve encountered so far is Adobe Acrobat Pro, but finding a legitimate registration file for it feels like chasing a ghost; every version currently available online turns out to be a complete fake. 😠

I actually spotted a crack for it over on Abracadabra!

I gave it a shot, but the thing only seems to function correctly when set to CHINESE.
It’s essentially useless for me since half the characters and diagrams just fail to render properly. 😠

Sounds like you're dealing with some major font issues, either deep in your OS or somewhere inside Adobe.

If you can't find a way to get it working, you might just need to grab Adobe Acrobat (it's about 103MB)

I need to take a specific form from a catalog that's sitting in PDF format and turn it into a Microsoft Word file so I can actually manipulate it—you know, swap out the logos, tweak the text, and make the necessary adjustments.🙂

He was talking about Adobe Acrobat, not the free Adobe Acrobat Reader...

The software I'm using is called BCL DRAKE 6.O; it’s a tiny little thing, barely 2.5 MB, and the registration process is straightforward enough 😁 . However, I've hit a bit of a wall. When I convert a PDF over to Microsoft Word, it pulls in the entire document—all eight pages, in this case. My goal is simple: I want to edit page two and save just that single page as a new file in my Documents folder, or perhaps just shoot it off via email. I’ve been tinkering with different settings to try and isolate it, but nothing seems to stick 😁

I’m not sure I follow—you want to take one page out of eight, keeping just that specific second one you mentioned? If I've got that right, maybe just delete everything else in that Microsoft Word doc and hit save.

If you aren't going to listen... Adobe Acrobat is really your only solid option here. Once you have it installed, you'll see an icon right in Microsoft Word that lets you save directly back to a .pdf, which is exactly what you're looking for anyway, right?

Well, damn—he didn't specify if he wants to save it as a doc or a pdf.
If he wants a pdf, then Acrobat is probably the best bet. It isn't free, obviously, but there are some free little tools out there for that—converting from doc to pdf. I think one is called Smallpdf, or something like that.

Have you even bothered to try using OpenOffice? It’s actually pretty straightforward if you just open up the .pdf, save it as a .txt file, then pull that into Microsoft Word and save it back out as a .doc. Honestly, sometimes the simplest workarounds are the best when everything else is being difficult. OpenOffice.org, download , size 63.5 MB

Exactly. I have this document already converted into a Microsoft Word file, and I need to extract page two and save it as its own separate document, since the other seven pages are just dead weight. The issue is that I can't seem to isolate just that single page; every time I try, it either wipes the whole thing or copies all eight pages at once. How am I supposed to select just that one page to export into a folder as a new file? I already handled the conversion issue using the software mentioned above.😵

Just highlight the text on that page with your mouse, hit Ctrl+C, open a blank Microsoft Word document, and hit Ctrl+V.

That approach works fine if you're just dealing with plain text, but my page is cluttered with diagrams and various other elements that don't follow those rules; trying to paste everything piece by piece feels like trying to assemble a jigsaw puzzle one shard at a time, so I'm wondering if there is a way to grab the entire page in one go and drop it straight into a new document.
