Jose Lee14 said:My CPU cooler is hitting 2755 RPM. Is that actually good? I don't really know what I'm doing here. 🤷

There isn't much to figure out here. RPM just means revolutions per minute. Since smaller fans have to spin faster to move enough air to cool things down, and those Celeron builds usually use tiny fans that cap out around 5000 RPM, you might want to go into the BIOS and set it to run at 100% constantly if you're planning on trying to overclock it.

I can't make out a single thing in this image; the exposure is far too high 🤷

Just click the image on the forum, then once it opens in a new tab or window, just click it again...

So, I pushed my old Athlon 64 3700+ up to 2.36 GHz just because I felt like messing around. Purely for the hell of it. Now I’m looking at pulling the trigger on a new rig, and I want to know what you guys think. Which build is actually worth grabbing if I'm planning to overclock? Looking for the best bang for my buck in that department. Thanks.

I find myself wondering what your criteria for a superior computer might be. In my estimation, the one featured in that local Best Buy commercial was quite impressive. 😁

So, what are the best components if I actually want to dive into overclocking? I’m definitely not an expert yet, but I’ve got the itch to become one.

btw, I actually gave the Memu setup a shot on CL4—didn't work out... it crashed three times in a row...

It looks great, though I can't help but think seeing it at 4GHz would be just a bit more satisfying... 🙂

Like I mentioned to you before, he isn't exactly the biggest fan of low latency anyway... 🙂

Really nice stuff... 🙂

4 GHz with the stock cooler? I wouldn't count on it... 😁

Honestly, I was absolutely pushing my E2160 to its limits by running it at just 1.7V with nothing but the stock Intel cooler, and you know what? It didn't even flinch 😁
