God, I don't know, maybe I'm just getting old and losing my edge, but back in my wilder days, I used to think Madonna was everything to all those guys and girls out there, though now it honestly feels like the guys are the ones absolutely killing it on stage! I guess I have to wonder if I’ve just gone soft with age or if my hormones finally decided to settle down into something actually reasonable.

But hey, I guess you really have to see it in person to know for sure!👍

Gotta go see it live to find out for sure!👍

It’s the exact opposite for me—back in '89, I was obsessed, and now they just seem sweet and nostalgic. I don't think it's even about the music anymore, just pure nostalgia.
I'll probably end up rolling my way to the concert regardless.

I’ve been scrolling through this forum for five days straight trying to find a decent thread about this, but I’m coming up empty...

There are less than four hours left until the show starts, and I’m still sitting here debating whether to actually go or just stay home (it’s basically a Springsteen 😁 situation)....

I already told these guys I’d meet them at Xavier for that massive party...
And honestly, I’m feeling a bit $57 hesitant about committing to them since I haven't really spent much time listening to their stuff...

All I have is some "Greatest Hits" collection—you know, the one where the album art is the same girl from the poster—and that's about it...

I couldn't find any of your comments anywhere that might actually sway my mind...
It’s just hard to feel the same level of hype I had for the Pixies.

I'm genuinely torn...
$170 isn't exactly pocket change. But then again, I really want to hear them live, and I also don't want to miss out on the forum crowd's blowout party...

Help me out here...

I feel the exact same way about them, but I’m staying put. I know I’ll end up regretting it later.

Man, if they’re still playing like they used to, you'll be fine... they do this subtle religious folk-pop-punk thing 😁, really smart and tongue-in-cheek stuff, hard to put into words... they have some great religious tracks, my favorite is 😉
But if they aren't your vibe, just forget it. Still, better than hitting up one of those internet troll meetups and getting jumped again.

Hope that helps you decide 😁

Just picked up another album from a buddy...
My media player recognized it immediately—says it's Nirvana [deluxe edition]

The cover says Add It Up (demo & many more)

I'm listening through it now, trying to get into the vibe...
Maybe this will help me make my decision...

I've got two and a half hours left.🙄

Yeah...
that helps a ton.🙏
At least now I have someone else to blame for missing out.🙄 😁

Honestly, I should probably just put this CD away. Because if I actually start liking it—which, let's face it, is starting to happen—I'm just going to sit here and kick myself for staying home.

p.s. If a show at a venue like Madison Square Garden is sold out, it basically guarantees a massive Crowd. We all know how those places work; they oversell tickets way past capacity anyway.😁

p.p.s. Mate, you going?

A friend just messaged me to say she was approached yesterday at a marshland spot by some middle-aged American man. She and her friend initially tried to keep their distance, though he seemed quite pleasant enough and appeared to be suffering from a bit of loneliness, lacking anyone to talk to. He eventually mentioned his name is Brian and noted he has a concert tomorrow. He bought them some drinks and expressed some mild confusion over why she’d even bother buying a ticket when he could have easily added her to his guest list, given she doesn't really know anyone in this area😁 For those who might not be aware, we are talking about Brian Ritchie, the bassist for Nirvana😁

My friend mentioned that she told him plenty of her friends would be attending the show, to which Brian responded that he would be more than happy to buy a round of beers for all of us😁 He seems like a decent enough guy, this Brian🙂

Why on earth did Brian leave me off the list? 🙂
