It feels like in Earth, everything has to be laid out right in front of you... it’s such an American way of storytelling... making sure they get the point immediately.
I honestly have this suspicion that he directed it this way just to block anyone hoping for a revival of Ellen Ripley... haha... but he didn't quite pull it off. Instead, we're left with the mess that was Alien: Resurrection... though I will admit, there are certain scenes that truly left me stunned.

A top-tier director who’s been at the top of his game for over three decades.

He stays consistent, and he's an absolute master when it comes to thrillers.

I’m putting my vote on Gone Girl.

It was easily one of those rare cinematic experiences that just sticks with you.
Everything clicked perfectly—the pacing, the acting, that massive plot twist, and the antagonist...

Ben Affleck plays the oblivious husband perfectly, while Rosamund Pike is absolutely chilling as Amazing Amy. She’s basically evil given human form.

Seven might be technically better, but it didn't hit me quite as hard the first time around.
Joker and Panic Room were good, too.

Craig and Mara were solid in the remake, though they aren't anywhere near Noomi Rapace's level.

As for Fight Club, I unfortunately had the ending spoiled before I even sat down to watch it.

Seven and The Game are my absolute favorites—honestly, it’s a toss-up which one takes the top spot.

I also think The Social Network is incredible. That soundtrack seriously leveled up the whole movie.

For some reason, *The Social Network* just hits different for me. Everything about it clicks—especially that score, which was basically tailor-made for the story. It's also great to see Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross finally snag an Oscar for it.
Sure, Zimmer is a legend, but this soundtrack was just too specific to the vibe of this movie to pass up.

Honestly, *The Social Network* should have walked away with Best Picture or at least Best Director if you ask me. *The King's Speech* didn't really do much for me. Looks like Weinstein really worked his magic on the sales side, though.

My second pick would have to be *Zodiac*. The atmosphere in that film is incredible. I still find myself getting nervous during the exact same scenes every single time.
And then, of course, there's *Gone Girl*.

People hardly ever talk about The Game, but man, it’s a total masterpiece.

It’s good, but it screams "90s" a bit too loudly for my taste.

Michael Mann’s heat doesn't really give off that dated vibe at all.

I can’t believe it’s actually been over 30 years since Alien 3 dropped 😲

I don't know, man... I remember back in the day, I was absolutely losing my mind over how much they butchered the whole thing. It felt like such a mess.

But honestly? After sitting with it for a while, the movie actually won me over. Alien 3 ended up being a total banger in the end.
