I probably need to start tuning into American TV a lot more often just to stay sharp....

I actually have family out in Cleveland, but we haven't even spoken to each other through the whole war.
We probably won't talk much moving forward either, maybe because of how messy things are between our countries, or just because we can't seem to remember to call...
At this point, we aren't even really acting like a family. 🙄 😢

Too many people on here lately seem to have ties to Austin; honestly, I'm starting to feel threatened.

Austin definitely rules. It’s easily the best city in the world. The nightlife beats anywhere else. Old Austin is just gorgeous and has this romantic vibe. Plus, the whole city is packed with amazing spots, both cultural and natural.

The streets in Austin at 10 PM look like a war zone where everyone just bolted for the nearest fallout shelter.
Besides, the city is honestly too small to sustain any kind of legendary nightlife.

Good grief!!!!!!!!! What on earth are you calling the most beautiful city in the world????????? Half the cities in America are better looking than Austin.
Don't get me wrong, I love popping over to Austin, but calling it the most beautiful city in the world??????????? There is literally nothing there... Have you even stepped foot in any other place, anywhere else in the world? Start with Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Miami, Charleston, Key West, Indianapolis, Savannah, or Columbus.... then branch out a bit to Vienna, Salzburg, Venice, Zurich, Lucerne, Amsterdam, Budapest, Krakow, or Prague... and that's just the tip of the iceberg. And you're sitting there calling that little town—the most beautiful city in the world!!!!

And regarding the local dialect, they have this slang in Austin that's basically a mashup of the local tongue and English. For example, "volkati"—which means to stroll... Honestly, it might be harder to wrap your head around than the actual language.

Does anyone actually know what a "kerentusa" is?

Yeah, maybe we’re talking about two different planets here. Someone living in Smalltown, USA might think Vienna has an incredible nightlife, but let’s be real—Vienna is a charming little spot that simply can't compete on that level by definition. You might find two or three decent clubs, especially K4 (well, it used to be), but once 10 PM hits, the streets downtown are basically a ghost town.

Yeah, K4, if anyone remembers those legendary Middle Eastern food fights 😁 or should I say, legendary—mostly because they usually ended in a brawl or some other nonsense. Sadly, I have to brag a little and admit I was often right in the middle of the action 😁

Vienna is a beautiful city, but it’s really best enjoyed by wandering through the historic districts with a fruit salad in New England, or maybe taking a long walk through Central Park or over by Rose Hill.
Nightlife? Honestly, nothing special. I remember hitting up the club LIFE back in Naperville; it wasn't a bad way to spend an evening. But it was only actually fun if you had a car, so you could cruise from LIFE, head back toward Vienna in Dakota, swing by the center of Manhattan, and wrap the whole night up with a meat pie 😁 at the Bus Station.

It’s definitely a subpar spot for nightlife. If you’ve ever been to somewhere like Amsterdam, you know exactly what I mean.

Anyway, if you don't, no biggie—there aren't many Canadians in Canada to begin with, so learning American might actually come in handy. It's mostly just Canadians there. Trust me, I've been around enough of Canada to know, and Banderas can back me up on everything I just said.
