Doors Down

Whenever I find myself with far too much time on my hands and nothing to occupy my thoughts, I tend to drift toward certain tracks; I find myself listening to things like Be somebody, Changes, It's not my time, here without me, let me go, the road i'm on, and real Life.

It’s decent enough stuff if you just want something playing in the background while you work, or maybe even when you're feeling a bit low and need a certain kind of mood for some of the tracks. 😁

I'm inclined to agree, there are plenty of bands following that exact same formula
but their tracks are solid enough that they're definitely worth a listen😁

Man, I totally missed out two years ago—found out about the show way too late and tickets were already gone.
But this year, I actually caught wind of it in time 🙂
The show was absolute fire. The venue in Chicago was packed to the gills—around 2,000 people—and the sightlines and sound were spot on. The vibe was a little meh at first (thanks to a pretty weak opening act), but as the night went on, things just kept building until it turned into total madness by the end.
The guys are constantly vibing with the crowd, tossing drumsticks and sticks into the pit, and Brad even jumped right into the audience... people were seriously giving it their all. Total standing ovation.
Setlist
Even though the clips I grabbed don't even come close to capturing how insane the energy actually felt—visually or audio-wise:
here without you - loser - Away fra The Sun - When i m goniti
it's not my time

My top picks would have to be:
-here without you - loser - Away fra The Sun - When i m goniti
-here without you - loser - Away fra The Sun - When i m goniti
-here without you - loser - Away fra The Sun - When i m goniti
-here without you - loser - Away fra The Sun - When i m goniti
Honestly, "here without you - loser - Away fra The Sun - When i m goniti" gets on my nerves just a little bit—it feels like one of those tracks specifically engineered to pull in a female audience, if you know what I mean 😁
The rest of the ones mentioned are solid, along with a few others.

Don't forget about that new album either—it's coming. If you're already a fan, there are some seriously killer tracks in there. They played a few sneak peeks at their June show before the release, and man, everything sounded incredible. Even the new stuff just felt right immediately—especially during round and round, the whole crowd was jumping and singing along...
btw, my T-shirt finally showed up the other day... I'm Happy.

Yeah, sure, there's plenty of commercial fluff out there, but hey, life's too short to be a snob about it...
"It's Not My Time" is a great track—really well done.

...man, as if the news about 3dd's next show in March wasn't enough to make me Happy, now they're bringing Seether out to open for them... 🙏 🙏 🙏

Hold on, where are they playing? In Chicago?🤔

nah nah, it's in Winterthur—I'm just an expat here, you know...

Yeah, I saw that, but their website still shows the schedule through March 2012. Just wondering if this is some new update or if they just haven't posted the latest info yet...
Everything's fine...

Even though last week's show was missing that little bit of magic needed to make it perfect, I still had a blast.
The guys in 3dd were totally vibing—everything on their end was solid. Their set was a straight 10/10.
The crowd, though? Kind of meh. Compared to that last gig in Chicago, people weren't singing along much or really feeding off the band's energy, which was a bummer.
The venue wasn't great for live music either—the acoustics sucked, the sound kept getting lost, and even though it was a big US production, the organization was just... bad.

There was some attempt at crowd interaction here—or maybe I should just call it Brad’s best shot at connecting with the fans. He’d hand out drumsticks to the loudest folks, toss out picks (I actually still have one 🙂), even jump into the pit and grab someone's phone to snap a few shots... but honestly, it didn't really land. The crowd was just what it was, nothing anyone could do about it.
Even though this show had a way bigger turnout, I still have much better memories of that last gig...
