Is Final Destination actually worth watching?

So, I finally sat down and popped this one in on my old VHS player last night...
Out of all those so-called "teen slashers," this one was easily my favorite...
It’s not even strictly a horror flick, if we're being honest...
More like a high-stakes thriller...
😁 But man, it's a fun watch. That scene in the airport lounge where they're just hanging out while the plane takes off? Absolute standout. But hey, I won't spoil the rest for you guys...
I'm definitely planning on giving it another spin soon...
👍 7.5/10

I only sat through Final Destination 2.
Honestly? The whole thing is a total joke. A farce. Just pure nonsense. I was honestly on the verge of tossing it into the "trashy teen thriller" pile—you know, along the lines of those *I Know What You Did Last Summer* clones—but, well, I finished it.
And here’s the thing... I didn't actually fall asleep. But man, did I yawn. It’s just idiotic. If anything, the script feels different from the typical teen flicks coming out these days, though I certainly don't mean that as a compliment. People die in these incredibly brutal, unexpected ways, which basically just caters to those twisted little fetishes where the director thinks, "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if a semi-truck crushed someone right now?" But beyond that shock value? There’s absolutely nothing there. The ideas are half-baked, and the execution feels like something you'd see in a low-budget road trip movie. There's zero coherence; the plot is just a messy pile of events without any actual logic, and the scenes feel rushed and mindless. It's just silly. It looks like the sequel managed to be even worse than the first one.
You’ll forget you even saw it about seven minutes after the credits roll, but what else can you really expect? At least it wasn't one of those movies so bad that you spend three hours hiding in the bathroom just to avoid finishing it.

The first one was alright for me...
That scene where the teacher dies? Totally iconic...
I haven't actually seen the second one yet—but I’m guessing it’s probably pretty mediocre.

Wait, did those two survivors from the first movie actually make it into Final Destination 2?
(I mean, she’s supposed to be there along with the guy)
Where did you guys even watch the sequel?
Is it still playing in theaters or has it already hit Blu-ray?

Final Destination 2 hit theaters at the start of this spring.
I mean, if I were to sit here and tell you whether the characters actually make it out alive or not, wouldn't that be kind of pointless? What would even be the point of watching the movie then, right?

I personally enjoyed both sequels. While the first one is arguably the better film, the second definitely ramps up the gore. That accident at the start of the second installment is genuinely chilling. It’s certainly worth a watch.👍

I think Leonardo DiCaprio might be in it, but I'm not totally sure. Basically, the story kicks off when he gets this gut feeling that his flight is going to crash, so he decides to skip the trip—and, of course, the plane goes down anyway. There are some other intense scenes too, but I haven't actually seen it yet and now I'm dying to watch it, but I can't remember the title... Does anyone know what it's called?!

I think it's called Final Destination.
There are some pretty brutal death scenes in there—my favorite has to be the bus one (even though it's super short 😁)...
I know, I know... I'm totally morbid 😳

nice one 👍
Our engines cut out twice in Frankfurt right before takeoff—you should've seen the panic...
Americans didn't settle down until the pilots served them some coffee and cookies along with a little explanation: "Look, I wouldn't be flying this transoceanic jet if I thought we actually had a problem." But honestly, you never know who might be feeling suicidal these days. Gotta stay careful... 😁
