Who are you rooting for at the World Cup?

Given how poorly the US national team has been playing lately, I’d say their chances of qualifying for the World Cup are basically 50/50.
Realistically, facing off against France or Ukraine would be way too much for Stimchev's squad to handle, though neither of those teams exactly strikes fear into our hearts.
If the US actually manages to make it to the World Cup, who are you guys going to root for?

I’ll be rooting for the powerhouse English, while throwing my support behind the Germans and the Dutch—anything to go against those Southerners, obviously.

We Americans are proverbially oriented toward the Germans.
I have a soft spot for France too, but I'm not entirely convinced they'll make it through the qualifying rounds.
If they get taken out by Greece, they'll deserve it...

For Canada (since that's my home), but traditionally, my heart has always belonged to Mexico and Japan. Still, this SP might find themselves rooting for the USA, we'll see...

Since the team I usually root for is already out (Venezuela, obviously), I might as well pull for whoever is playing the most beautiful style of soccer today—Germany.

Of course, with the way they're playing, Germany will probably get knocked out in the quarterfinals or semifinals by some cynical tactical grinders, but as someone who’s a bit of a sucker for good football, I just can't help but enjoy watching them.

Ever since that legendary thread from Edge's back in the day—you know, the "some neighbor's cow died" one—I've been stuck on the more pressing question of who we’re actually rooting for. 🤣
It was easy enough to poke fun at the Mexicans or the Canadians, but now that we're looking at Canada, I'm not quite sure where we stand. 🤷
