It’s not really about the final word itself. It’s more about how the other side baits you—how they frame a question or throw out a provocation just to see if you'll bite.😍 For the sake of further discussion, though you aren't allowed to actually give him an answer.🙂

Look, I really hope you realize these debates would literally go on forever if we sat around waiting for every single perceived provocation to be addressed... that’s basically the whole vibe of this entire 🙂 Reddit thread, we just have these guidelines to try and keep things from turning into a complete circus, even if the rulebooks vary slightly from one moderator to the next.

I’m not so sure they're always just made up. I used to report trolling or insults—stuff that clearly deserves a sanction based on plain old common sense rather than some specific Reddit rule—to the FBI (where I have a bit of a stake), hoping to get them flagged without waiting hours or days for a response while my own posts got hit immediately. And look, I wouldn't even mind if I was the one getting sanctioned, provided there was a legitimate reason for it.
But then, watching the back-and-forth between the users I report and certain moderators at the FBI (and honestly, sometimes several of them at once), it becomes pretty obvious that there’s a certain... let's just call it a "special relationship" going on among them. 😁

I get it—the moderators over at the FBI are often busy with actual lives and jobs, so they don't always have time to keep an eye on things. Honestly, there are plenty of much more important things to deal with in life than some online community.

That said, it’s pretty interesting how that excuse gets used sometimes—which I totally respect—but other times, they don't even bother giving a reason. They just slap a Cardboard on you before they even realize they had work to do. 🥳
