Progress at last! 🙏 Perez is playing this game with such calculated, high-stakes audacity that it’s almost impressive. 🙂 You might want to start trembling if you think the rest of the season is going to be easy. 🤣 ☕

He triggered the DRS when Vettel was the only one ahead by about three seconds...
Fine. If the FIA won't hand out a penalty, God will.☕

What was he supposed to do, jump out of the car, shut it manually, and then keep driving??
Thomas Long7 said:He was running with an open DRS in a zone where it’s strictly forbidden... it doesn't matter if he left it open on purpose or if some faulty sensor or mechanical glitch triggered it...
It's against the rules, period—and that requires a penalty...
Think about it: if a car has a speed limiter failure in the pits, they get hit with a penalty immediately—regardless of whether it was an accidental error...
Rules are rules...

use your head...

A little more consistency and objectivity wouldn't hurt. ☕
stormybadger8 said:Of course he was.☕
Alonso couldn't have used it in his wildest dreams since he wasn't even within a second of the guy ahead of him.🙄
shadowstag10 said:Personally, I think he just used the DRS on the straight while pulling past Rosberg—he used it to get the move done, and then it cut out halfway down the stretch before kicking back in once Rosberg reclaimed his spot a lap later.
I don't know if that makes sense or not, but if anyone can actually go back and watch that Alonso overtake on Rosberg, maybe they'll see why it looks like he pulled it behind Vettel, when really he just couldn't get it to stay on.

And the crowd? It’s looking pretty thin too—kind of like a local high school football game where nobody showed up.
Nancy Scott5 said:And how can you be sure he wasn't lapping someone?
I don't know why he pulled the trigger on the DRS, but my guess is he was trying to lap a car. If you're sure he wasn't, show me the proof.
stormybadger8 said:Yep, he popped it on just to defend against Di Resta.
Honestly, it's a miracle he didn't get a penalty for that.🙄
