I honestly can’t make up my mind, but if I had to pick from this list...

Admiral Yi Sun Shin (the real deal) - Admiral: Roaring Currents - 100% efficient. He never lost a single battle! Such a stubborn winner, too. Even after being falsely accused of treason, sentenced to death, and demoted, he fought his way right back to the top of the military hierarchy. He won again against all the odds. Just a pure patriot through and through.



As for the fictional picks, I'm torn between these three:

- Sunny (from the movie Sunny, 2008) - This young Korean woman heads over to Vietnam to work as an entertainer—singer and dancer—just to find her husband, a soldier who vanished without a word. She’s performing half-dressed for rowdy Americans and Koreans when she gets captured by the Viet Cong and eventually rescued by the US military. When she finally tracks down her husband, she actually walks away right in the middle of the fighting just to slap him!



- Kim Mi-re (Flu, 2013) - The South Korean military gets orders to shoot anyone who breaks quarantine and crosses the orange line. Then there's little Mi-re, who crosses that line, stands there with her arms wide open, crying and begging the soldiers not to kill her mother.



- Bruce Lee (any version) - Honestly, anyone who can beat Chuck Norris to death—even if it's just on screen—is a hero in my book.

Shane !!! (you know, like that guy who sounds just like he’s singing his way through every lyric, the one everyone recognizes instantly when they hear him in a track)

This is one of those topics you just can't wrap up with a single sentence. Every era brings its own set of heroes and massive franchises that somehow become part of our DNA. It’s the same for every genre—they all have their icons.

If I were to just throw some names out there right now, my list would look something like this: the female lead or android from Metropolis, Charlie Chaplin, Popeye, Bruce Lee, Dave from 2001: A Space Odyssey, Ellen Ripley from Alien, the Arnold Schwarzenegger character in Predator, the T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) in Terminator 2, Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Harry Potter, Luke Skywalker, and Van Helsing (from the very first Dracula).

If I actually had to pick just one, I’m afraid the fictional world wins out for me—it’s gotta be Luke Skywalker.

Bruce Willis in Armageddon, obviously. 😎
