There were fouls on Canellas during both the first and second steps. Then they let him take the third shot completely uncontested. It’s an impossible call to justify—anyone who has ever stepped foot in a gym knows that.

Kaaaaj? A Swede grabs Canellas's jersey, then while Canellas is mid-air, the Swede is still pulling his shirt, and then a second Swede body-checks him mid-jump.
How is that not a foul?!

Hats off to Ribéry. He pulled off miracles with the roster he had, but keeping Corales in until the 45th minute had nothing to do with anything; the guy only had five saves by then. It was such a questionable call, especially considering how well Vargas handled Dance just two days ago...

Oh, and that uncalled foul on Abell. What a joke. A Swedish person stands two feet in front of Abell, doesn't move an inch, and he runs right into him? Not even an offensive foul. 🤣

I can't say I've ever seen a handball final called so unfairly; those German guys honestly deserve nothing but total respect.

For once, it wasn't someone from the usual trio—France, Germany, or Spain.

It felt like they were clearly leaning in favor of Sweden a couple of times. Aside from that, it was a solid final—real, gritty play from both sides without all the usual nonsense—so Sweden earned it.
