Alex Barnes93 said:He did shift his position, but he wasn't diving into Russell; he was simply opening up the line to set up his racing line for the corner entry. George likely thought he was being squeezed and made a total amateur mistake. This is entirely on George.
Back in college, everyone used the term "racing line." 😁

Richard Walker38 said:I honestly don't see this move toward the right that Brundle keeps harping on about.
Man, those British commentators can be so biased whenever their own drivers are involved.
You should probably take another look at it. I mean, Bottas was just defending the inside line, so it makes sense he’d end up further toward the right side of the track once they actually made contact. But if you ask me, he still left enough room.

The way I see it, this is all just a game played by Hamilton and the other nineteen drivers where the rules seem to shift depending on who is involved, making it feel as though some people are treated with much more care than others...

Jacob Castillo70 said:Back in my engineering classes, everyone was obsessed with talking about racing lines. 😁
Man, that sounds like something you'd hear on a ferry boat 😁
James Harris34 said:So, should Hamilton have been penalized just because he drove backward onto the track?
Nah.

Jacob Castillo70, you really know your stuff when it comes to engineering, don't you? 😁
Alex Barnes93, what's the line here?

We’re headed straight into a stretch of pure chaos and unpredictable drama here through the end of the season.

Alex Barnes93, hit me with the trajectory.
Synonyms 👍

Well, "path" is just how we say it here—"trajectory" is more of that technical jargon used internationally... 😁
Sebastian Vettel is setting the fastest lap...😍 🤣

Richard Walker38 said:They’re going to take Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc. The kid was driving like an absolute beast all weekend. It’s such a damn shame about that bullshit penalty for having a rear tire a few inches off the track during that lap. He would’ve been starting on the front row otherwise.

Betty Sanders said:Sure, but "putanja" is just how we say it here; "trajectory" is the term used internationally in our context. 😁
Sebastian Vettel holds the fastest lap...😍 🤣
Every single technical manual and nearly every professor I've ever listened to has used the term trajectory.
I didn't just make this up 👍

Lando Norris has turned into an absolute beast on the track lately, man, I am seriously loving seeing this side of him.

It’s such a shame McLaren hasn't had a top-tier driver in years
The Formula 1 car is absolute perfection—they just don't have anyone capable of actually driving it.

Everyone was hyping up Perez, but man, he absolutely tanked it today. He performed way below expectations.
#59 ·
You screw up, you wreck the car, you end up a circle and a half behind P4, they throw the red flag, and boom—now you’re sitting there about 10 seconds back from P1. Just pure tragedy, lol.

Jacob Castillo70 said:All the textbooks and basically every professor uses the term trajectory.
I didn't just make that up... 👍
Dude. Are you really going to argue linguistics in the middle of a race? 🙄 I might actually miss something because of you. 🙂
It’s not wrong, per se—but it’s not how we say it in American English. And technical manuals, especially tech stuff, are known for sticking to the simplest terms—basically international standards—which is the case here too.
Neither of you is technically "wrong," but there is an American term used all the time... it's not some weird made-up thing.
Listen to the linguist here. 🧐
