It’s going to be absolutely wild if Lando Norris actually pulls off a podium finish. Man, I hope so.

If he manages to squeeze through one more corner without losing momentum, there's a real chance Alonso could pull right up to the podium...

The folks at SK3 stated the race was halted because pulling cars off the track under the SC isn't as safe as it is on those newly designed US tracks. I suppose we could call it luck, if nothing else. 🙂 At least it makes for more interesting television.

Betty Sanders said:Man, are you really going to debate linguistics in the middle of a race? 🙄 If I miss anything because of this distraction, it's on you. 🙂

It isn't necessarily wrong, but it’s definitely not how we’d say it in standard American English. Technical and scientific literature is notorious for sticking to the simplest terms—usually international ones—which is exactly what's happening here.

Neither side is truly in the wrong, but there is an established American term for this that is widely used; it isn't some obscure, made-up phrase.

Listen to the linguist here. 🧐

Alright, fair enough. 🙂

I can't help but indulge in a little daydreaming,

But honestly, when was the last time we actually saw two Ferrari cars standing together on the podium?

Lewis Hamilton might actually pull off a second-place finish at this rate 🤣

Sebastian Vettel was basically just walking through a parade today. He only moved up because everyone else was busy crashing or spinning out right in front of him. If those wrecks hadn't happened, he would have been stuck right behind the Haas 🤣

Man. Are you seriously going to debate linguistics in the middle of a race? 🙄 I might actually miss something important because of you. 🙂

It isn't necessarily wrong, though it isn't quite the standard American term. Technical literature, particularly in engineering, tends to favor the most straightforward options—essentially internationalized[\B] terms—which seems to be the case here.

Neither side is truly incorrect, yet there is an established American expression that is widely used and certainly isn't some obscure invention.

Perhaps we should listen to the linguists. 🧐

You were looking for international terminology, weren't you? 🙂

There is "trajectory" used as a general path, but then there is the more rigorous mathematical definition where it functions strictly as a trajectory. One really ought to listen to the engineers. 🙂

I will concede that, in this specific context, we are indeed discussing actual paths. 😬 🙂

What a chaotic race we're watching today. 🍿

So, looks like it’s gonna be just Max against the world again for the third year running in the constructors' championship.

There's a chance Perez might actually manage to scrape together a few more points.

And he could! I honestly believe he can, but looking at how things are playing out, Max is probably gonna end up walking away with almost all of Red Bull's points by the end of the season.

I mean, look, it’s totally unrealistic to expect anyone to actually challenge him for wins—let's be real, besides Lewis Hamilton, he's easily the best driver on the grid right now. But man, if the other Red Bull driver keeps making these silly mistakes that cost him podiums and ultimately hurt their standing in the constructors' championship... 👎

Those blunders are gonna sting extra hard this year because, let's face it, every single million dollars is going to matter more than ever before.

I couldn't care less about Lewis Hamilton personally, but it is truly staggering just how much luck that man seems to have on his side...

Way to go, Lando! He definitely didn't make things easy for Lewis Hamilton.

I'm really hoping they have plenty of rubber left for the podium stretch.
