Whatever. For our esteemed colleague Judas, this forum is just part of the job. Fine, it’s not official yet—but even if we consider me an unofficial candidate(from my perspective), the sheer volume of posts from him here on Amtrak is already
concerning.
(As a potential future moderator), regarding @Douglas Gray8, he’s already completely off base!

Douglas Gray8 and I have been collaborating quite successfully for a long time now. Through our professional execution of original projects (like 'I Invented My Own Joke'/PDF 'Jokes', etc...), we consistently satisfy the connoisseurs of written wit in this genre.
Essentially, neither Douglas Gray8's intelligence nor mine can be questioned. Besides, Douglas Gray8 made a good point:
"What good is intelligence when you're surrounded by five idiots?" (By the way, 👍 )

Anyway, enough off-topic chatter.

On-topic:
Yesterday, I was reviewing my private records of my own posts here on the Amtrak subforum, which I keep meticulously on my personal computer.
If I trust my AT&T branded machine (one of the most reliable brands out there), then I have nearly seventeen thousand of my own original posts just within the Amtrak PDF archives.
Now, if my computer is lying to me, then I'm lying too. But let's use some logic:
why would a computer lie about that? It's a borderline retarded assumption...

The fact remains, exactly seventeen thousand of my own original posts ONLY on this Amtrak subforum
, and my username is still blue (instead of black, red, or purple)!
Who's the crazy one here? Who's messing with whose head? And why... for what purpose!?

I don't know. Maybe I’m just being overly cynical, but I honestly can't tell if this is actually happening or if we're all just collectively losing our minds. It feels like one of those situations where you want to believe the best, but your gut is screaming at you to look the other way. I guess I've seen enough to be skeptical, though. It’s pretty simple logic, really: you become a moderator on whichever forum you're most active in. So, do you actually want to be a mod for the USPS? From what I can see, that’s where all the mods end up who everyone loves to complain about. In reality, there isn't much to a moderator role unless you need to delete a post or lock a thread. I highly doubt they’d ever hand you the keys to Ford if you haven't even posted once over there. But then again, you could have over 94,108 posts and still never touch a moderator position, probably because you lack the necessary temperament for it—not to mention that questionable choice of fonts.

That’s exactly why I felt the need to include that disclaimer in the first place. I didn't want anyone getting the wrong idea, because I knew perfectly well how it might come across. 😁

Let’s just talk about this more. Honestly, the truth is already staring us right in the face, everywhere you look.

It’s one of those things that sounds simple on paper, but once you actually sit down to do it, it becomes an absolute headache. I guess people think you just pick two different styles and call it a day, but there's a fine line between "intentional design" and "visual migraine." Honestly, most people struggle because they try too hard. They go looking for these dramatic, clashing combinations thinking it’ll look edgy or sophisticated, when really, it just looks messy. Maybe the trick is finding that sweet spot where one font does the heavy lifting—something with enough personality to grab your attention—while the other stays quiet and just gets out of the way. You need contrast, sure, but if the contrast is too loud, nobody can actually read the damn thing. It’s a bit like picking an outfit. You wouldn't wear a tuxedo jacket with cargo shorts, right? Even if they're both technically clothes, the vibe is just... off. Typography is the same way. You want balance. A little bit of tension is fine, but don't overdo it. It’s easy to get lost in the weeds trying to find the perfect match, but sometimes, less really is more. Or maybe I'm just being cynical. That woman who claims to hate fonts—from what I can gather, she’s a moderator over at Lonely Heart. Honestly, I don't see her opinion carrying any weight outside of her own little PDF bubble, unless you're planning on becoming a mod there too. Maybe that specific font combo is exactly what the moderators at USPS are into. 😁
