$1,000 budget gaming build (not quite hitting my targets)

I haven't really kept up with the hardware scene since I put my own rig together about two years ago.
I'm helping a friend build a gaming setup, though nothing too hardcore.
The current plan is an Intel Core 3400, an ASUS B450M-HDV R4, an RX 570 8GB, a 256GB SSD plus a 2TB drive, a 700W Fortron PSU, and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. $2167 I picked these parts out at Best Buy.
Is there a way to make this better?

It’ll happen. Someone will eventually pull the trigger on a build once they actually find the time. They'll just drop in a beefier processor and a better GPU. Unless, of course, they're trying to fit the whole monitor and keyboard setup into the budget too.

Maybe you could save some cash on the power supply and the case (like an NX 200), then maybe put that money toward a larger hard drive.
