I am kindly requesting that the moderators of the Single Hearts subforum please provide me with an explanation regarding why my post from earlier today was removed.
Furthermore, I would appreciate it if you could paste the disputed post here, as I can no longer access it to understand specifically which rules—both the written ones and those unwritten social norms—I supposedly violated...
Additionally, I am seeking clarification as to why, if my advertisement was indeed deleted, I received absolutely zero feedback explaining the reasoning behind such an action. 😕

If the guidelines for this thread are structured such that moderators can unilaterally strike down advertisements they simply don't care for, then I believe it would be only fair to provide the user with a reason for doing so!!!

Thank you 🙂

And just so we are all on the same page, let me paste the rules here... purely for your reading pleasure! 😉

1. You are permitted only one advertisement at a time. You may repost after thirty days have passed since your current ad, at which point the previous one will be cleared.

2. Posting advertisements using multiple usernames is prohibited. Please commit to a single identity.

3. Offering or soliciting sexual encounters, trolling (there must be a level of decorum here), or commenting directly on other people's ads is strictly forbidden. If an ad catches your eye, please reach out to that individual via private message.

4. Do not post phone numbers, email addresses, or any other sensitive personal information.

"Bumping" a post by replying to it a day or two after the initial posting to keep it visible is also considered a violation. Please refrain from this practice.
A month means a full 30 days; for instance, if you posted on March 21st, you cannot post again until April 21st. Not even a single day sooner.
To ensure there is no confusion: this is a serious forum. It remains active solely because there are individuals here who genuinely wish to meet someone, and we want to facilitate that. We realize there are those who present false identities and toy with people's intentions, but unfortunately, we lack the tools to catch every single bad actor. Ultimately, the responsibility lies with you regarding whom you contact and where those interactions lead.

Special Note: It is impossible to list every conceivable inappropriate request or offer in a rulebook. Therefore, moderators reserve the right to exercise their judgment on whether content is permissible. For example, even if not explicitly stated, you cannot solicit sponsors, offer "free" vacations, or post under a username designated as a sponsor, among other things.

Regarding the advertisements themselves, they should include basic details such as gender, age, and your location. We suggest writing a bit more about yourself or the type of person you are looking for; being descriptive will likely help you attract more interest, so please don't be overly brief.

Fine.

Please also paste the disputed post here.

Fine, here is the post:

This is us:
A guy and a girl, both in our early 20s and in a loooong-term relationship. We are both highly educated, top students, and professionals. Full of life and energy! We don't live together yet, but we are working hard on making that happen.
The guy: 6'7" and just under 220 lbs, with short brown hair and hazel eyes.
The girl: Long brunette hair, 5'9" and about 120 lbs, extremely beautiful with strong tendencies toward the same sex.

We are easygoing, know how to have fun, love to laugh, and have a sense of humor... totally open-minded.

Through this post, we are looking for a woman/girl to hang out with us. Age doesn't matter! The important thing is that she also takes care of her appearance, is laid-back, and is eager for socializing, partying, and playing games together...
It's never boring with us!

For everything else, hit my inbox... don't hesitate to reach out.
Edit: location is New York City.

I also request an explanation as to why, if the ad was indeed deleted, I received absolutely no clarification regarding the reasoning behind it.

Because moderators aren't obligated to send explanations when deleting ads; rather, the author is responsible for asking for that explanation first. Surely you realize we don't have that much free time.

If the rules of the thread are set up so that moderators can arbitrarily remove ads they don't like, I believe it would be appropriate to explain to the user why they did so!!!

Of course.

The situation is this:
we received a user report regarding your ad.
By emphasizing both your and your girlfriend's physical looks, especially her 'tendencies': with strong tendencies toward the same sex, and by stating that you are looking for a girl who is 'laid-back and eager for socializing, partying, and playing games together... ', we concluded the ad should be removed because it is clearly seeking a potential partner for sexual experimentation.

A colleague was in a rush and skimmed through the ads; I reacted after the report, consulted two other colleagues who agreed with the removal, and deleted your ad.

Thanks, 🙂.
You're welcome. 🙂

And I’ll just paste the rules right here... strictly so you can actually read them!

I appreciate you posting those.

3. Soliciting or requesting sexual encounters is prohibited,
as is trolling (we require a level of seriousness here) or commenting on specific ads. If an ad catches your eye, please send that individual a private message.

Note: It is impossible to list every single thing someone might think to ask for or offer in the rulebook. The moderators reserve the right to judge whether something is permitted or not.

If Google or Miami believe we have made an error, I will offer an apology and restore the deleted ad immediately.

Honestly, I have to wonder who exactly this post could possibly bother: 😕😕😕🤷

The guidelines in the rules state:
Regarding the ads themselves, they should include basic information such as gender, age, and location. We recommend writing a bit more about yourself or the person you wish to meet, as this will likely attract more people, so please don't be too brief.

So... I wasn't allowed to, excuse me, *emphasize* how my girlfriend and I look? And that's despite the fact that I went overboard with the physical descriptions, listing our height, weight, age, gender, and location (exactly as requested in the moderator guidelines)

As for what you put in quotes—this "preferences" thing—it isn't even worth commenting on.
I mean, gay men can post ads... sure, they can openly look for other men, explicitly stating they are gay and thereby expressing (and I won't use quotation marks here) their preferences. Women can also look for women quite openly...
But a guy and a girl aren't allowed to look for anyone? Because apparently, that counts as breaking the rules by essentially offering sex.
Of course, when someone posts an ad saying: "Gay guy from Smalltown, USA looking for a gay guy nearby, young and handsome," etc.—he isn't posting that just to hook up; he's doing it so they can be friends and watch the birds in the sky...

So, you've decided the ad was posted exclusively to find someone for sexual experimentation? Fine then, by that logic, every single ad containing phrases like: "a girl with X look, X age, for coffee, going out, and something more..."—well, we could shove all of those into that same category.
In fact, following the exact logic you described in the quote I am responding to, I could go back and review the last 50 ads and find at least 20 that wouldn't meet your criteria either.

I hope these arguments clarify my point.
My ad didn't violate any specific rule, and more importantly, it doesn't deviate in any way from the other ads you consider legitimate that are currently active in this thread!
We expect, and kindly request, that it be reinstated.

It’s perfectly logical to assume your colleagues might side with you, but I truly ask that you consider my perspective as well.
I genuinely believe my post follows all the rules to a T. If you feel otherwise, then by that same logic, quite a few other posts should probably be taken down too.

Furthermore, the guidelines explicitly state:

In case anyone needs a reminder, this is a serious matter. This thread remains open solely because there are people who genuinely want to meet someone, and this platform provides that opportunity. We are fully aware that some people use fake identities to mess with those who reach out, but unfortunately, we simply don't have the resources to catch every single one of them. Ultimately, it is up to you to decide who you respond to and where those conversations lead.
We aren't pretending to be anyone we're not; we've been as honest as humanly possible. In fact, that's exactly why we do it—so we don't waste anyone's time.
The whole point of keeping this topic active is to facilitate real connections for those looking for genuine introductions.

And look! Just today, we actually connected with a girl, swapped emails, chatted for a bit... and we even set up a meeting for coffee tomorrow. And I mean COFFEE—not a hookup—just a casual meet-up to see if there's a vibe. So, mission accomplished! The purpose of this entire thing actually works.

See? 🙂

I have to wonder who could possibly be offended by that ad:

The person who reported it.

We expect and request its reinstatement.

Didn't I say the exact same thing here:

If Bliss or Nice feel we made an error, I will offer an apology and restore the deleted ad immediately.

It stands to reason they might take your side since they are your colleagues, but please consider my points.

No, that is incorrect.

Anyway, I have provided the reasoning behind the removal, and there is nothing more I can do.
It is Friday night; let us wait until someone arrives to make a decision, and then we shall act accordingly.

Now you're using this whole "looking for a partner" thing just to hunt for hookups. ☕

What we’re looking for is our own business!
The bottom line here is that the ad doesn't violate any rules, it follows the community guidelines perfectly, and it shouldn't look out of place compared to all the other posts on the board!

Oh, heavens no! I am actually utilizing it to lodge a formal complaint regarding the subpar, highly biased moderation we've been dealing with lately... 😉

Sure. But it’s up to the moderators to decide if your ad actually follows the rules. Meadow already pointed out the specific rule:

Velia said:3. Soliciting or requesting sex is prohibited.

I guess your ad looks like you're seeking a third for sex to me, too. 🤷

Paul 29:
Male, 33, living just outside NYC, employed. I'm looking to meet a girl—you know, someone to get to know properly—and we'll just see where things go from there! No pressure, just seeing what happens. I consider myself a pretty balanced guy—people tell me I've got decent looks, I'm relatively well-educated, and I actually read books! Plus, I’ve still got all my teeth and a full head of hair, which is a win in my book. Honestly, I’m not looking for some endless marathon of texting that eventually just fizzles out into nothingness. That’s just a waste of everyone's time. What I really want is to meet up in person, grab a drink, have a real conversation, and see if there's actual chemistry between us. And if we actually get the green light, man, the sky's the limit! Everything is on the table.

User123 says:
So, here's a little bit about me! I’m currently 20 years old—though I'll be hitting that big 21 milestone very soon, which feels quite significant, doesn't it? As for my physical stats, I stand about 5'8" and weigh around 155 pounds. I've got short brown hair and brown eyes, and I'd say I have a pretty average build. Oh! And I'm currently a student over in Chicago!

I’ve always had a massive soft spot for a good bit of banter—you know, those people who don't take themselves too seriously? I just can't stand pretense; give me someone honest any day of the week! I also really enjoy sports; now, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't call myself a die-hard fanatic who lives and breathes every stat, but if there's a big game on, I am absolutely down to sit down and watch a great matchup. Oh, and music, too! And a solid movie? Count me in. I just love the simple things!
People keep telling me I'm sweet—you know, that youthful look, easygoing, charming, funny, and sharp! It’s quite the list, really!
I don't really hit the clubs that often—I mean, I'll go out once in a blue moon, sure—but most of my nights are pretty low-key. It’s usually just grabbing a coffee or a beer with my old college crew. We used to spend so much time hanging out after lectures!

What exactly am I looking for? I am looking to connect with a girl who shares some similar interests—someone between the ages of 16 and 21 with a lovely appearance. I'm open to anything from a solid friendship to just hanging out, though, if things progress naturally, I certainly wouldn't complain about moving toward something a bit more serious! Honestly, I’d even be happy to meet someone who is currently seeing someone, provided she has a close friend who might be a perfect match for me.

Shoot me a DM!

Microsoft:
I'm a 31-year-old woman living in Chicago, and I’ve decided that I really want to find a female connection here! Honestly, I’d love to start things off very low-key—just some light texting and getting to know one another through messages first. I think it’s much better to build that rapport before jumping into anything else, don't you? Looking forward to chatting! And who knows where things might lead from there... maybe some genuine friendship, grabbing coffee, or just seeing where the wind blows!

P.S. Gentlemen, please don't bother messaging me.

Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing wonderful today!

Laura:
If you're willing to take me on, then I am all yours!

I am a 33-year-old New Yorker looking for an interesting man! I’d love to find someone a bit older than me—and if I really get a say in the matter, maybe someone tall with dark hair? Just a thought!

Jack:
So, this is my very first time posting an advertisement on here! I'm feeling a bit of a mix of nerves and excitement, honestly—sort of like that time I tried to bake a sourdough loaf from scratch and ended up making more of a mess than actual bread, haha! Anyway, let's just see how this goes and see if anyone takes notice!
So, here's the deal... I'm turning 19 soon! I’m currently living in Chicago, standing about 5'9" and weighing around 136 lbs. As for my look? I've got this short, brownish-blonde hair and blue eyes. Now, don't get me wrong—I’m definitely not some runway model or anything like that—but I wouldn't say I'm unattractive, either! I guess you could say I'm just an average guy. When I'm not out and about, I'm usually deep into a game of chess or lost in some complex math problems. There's just something about the logic of it all that really gets me going!A little bit naughty... you know, start off with some texting just to see if there's any actual chemistry, and then? Who knows! Honestly, I think that’s plenty of detail for an Advertisement.

She says she needs someone to keep her warm during those freezing winter days (and nights, too)!

HoneyBunny22:
I am searching, I am searching, I am searching...! I’ve just been sitting here thinking about how much I could use a handsome young man to keep me warm during these freezing winter days we're having... honestly, with this weather hitting us, I could really use some company! It would be ideal if this young man is somewhere in that 23 to 25 age range, and ideally hailing from Chicago. I happen to be 22 myself, and I'm also a local here in Chicago! Well, I say we stay close enough so we can actually keep each other warm!
I really wish you were charming, funny, and tall—like, actually handsome! But seriously, being over 5'11" would be ideal since I’m pretty tall myself. Since I'm currently a student, it would be great if you were also in college or at least finished up your degree already... I'm not exactly hunting for a specific hair or eye color, though I should probably mention that I have brown hair and green eyes.
If you actually enjoyed what you just read, please, do reach out! I’d love to hear from you.

Maple Avenue:
I'm just a college student in my early twenties! I’ve been thinking lately—and I know I tend to wander off on these little tangents—but I really find myself wishing I could connect with someone who truly shares my perspective on things. You know that feeling? Where you look around and realize how rare it is to find a kindred spirit who just *gets* it? It’s like looking for a needle in a haystack, or honestly, trying to find a decent parking spot in downtown Chicago on a Friday night! Anyway, I suppose what I'm trying to say, in my own slightly long-winded way, is that I would love to meet someone who sees the world through the exact same lens that I do. Just one person! Is that too much to ask? Honestly, I feel like we’re all just drifting through this digital void, and frankly? It’s getting a bit lonely. There is a serious lack of physical contact lately. Everything is just screens and pixels, you know? Sometimes you just need that real, human connection—a handshake, a hug, or even just being in the same room as someone else. It’s all becoming so disconnected! He’s just not looking for anything serious right now—not looking to settle down or dive into a committed relationship. If you're wondering what I'm actually looking for in a partner, here are the qualities that would really make someone stand out to me:
Non-smoker.
High.
I honestly can't even begin to describe how much I hate this! It's just... ugh. Everything about it is so incredibly frustrating!
I simply cannot help myself! I was just sitting here, sipping my coffee—the good stuff from the local roastery, not that instant nonsense—and this thought hit me like a bolt of lightning! It’s just one of those things, isn't it? You know, those sudden realizations that make you want to stand up and cheer! I find myself constantly pondering the little details of life, the tiny nuances that most people just breeze right past, but I just can't! It's quite overwhelming, really, but in the most delightful way possible! Anyway, I'm just feeling incredibly spirited today! Everything feels so vibrant!
I simply cannot help myself! I have been sitting here, staring at my screen, just absolutely bursting with things I need to say about this whole situation! It’s one of those days where everything feels so incredibly interconnected, isn't it? Like a giant web of events, all swirling around us in this great American landscape! Anyway, I was just thinking—and please bear with me, I know I tend to wander—about how much life changes when you're just trying to navigate the daily grind. You know that feeling? That sense that you're just waiting for the next big thing to happen? Well, I feel like we're right on the precipice of something truly monumental! It’s almost overwhelming, if I'm being completely honest! I even told my neighbor, a lovely woman who lives over near Maple Avenue, that I felt a shift in the air today. She just laughed, bless her heart, but I know what I felt! Everything is moving so fast, and yet, sometimes it feels like we're standing perfectly still. Isn't that a fascinating paradox? Just wonderful!

Please send over your resume and some photos—I'll be checking my DMs!

EDIT: Chicago.

🤣😂🤣😂🤷🙂🙂
It seems like everyone and their mother is talking about heating lately... It’s everywhere! Honestly, I can't scroll through my feed without seeing some new gadget or service promising to revolutionize how we stay warm this winter. It’s becoming such a massive topic of conversation!
Maybe we should have just written that we’re freezing our tails off—I mean, can you blame us? With heating bills spiking by 40%, it’s getting ridiculous! We could have played the "it's too cold" card and suggested we need another girl to keep us warm during these winter nights. Would that have worked better? Would people have bought into that? Honestly, I think it might have actually been a winning strategy!
You guys are being inconsistent and subjective (though I won't go so far as to call you hypocritical!)
So, once again, I’m formally requesting that those in charge restore our advertisement!

I guess your ad looks like you're seeking a third for sex to me, too. 🤷

So, what else is there to say? I’m looking for a throuple—anything else is just filler. You can find endless advertisements like this all over the internet if you know where to look.

My question is—and please bear with me while I try to articulate this properly—in what specific way does our advertisement deviate from those you’ve all just categorized as legitimate?

The specific advertisements you cited were posted by other members, and personally, I see nothing controversial about them.

- Looking for someone to meet, and seeing where things go with all possibilities open—content-wise, this doesn't imply seeking sexual experimentation.
- I wouldn't mind if a busy girl reaches out with a friend for me—this implies mediation during the introduction process, essentially friendly communication between the author and the forum member who responds.
- Meeting up initially, and then who knows what happens later—this leaves room for various types of relationships and certainly doesn't cast the idea toward sexual experimentation.

There is an enormous difference between a serious relationship and searching for sex or sexual experimentation. Just because someone says they aren't looking for a serious relationship doesn't necessarily mean they are hunting for sex.

Also, keep in mind that those ads were posted by SINGLE people standing alone behind their own posts, whereas this advertisement was created by a COUPLE, where the better half is BI, seeking a girl 'who is good-looking and open-minded for hanging out, fun, and playing games'.

Ads where it is explicitly stated, or implicitly sent through reading, that one is seeking sex or someone for sexual experimentation, are deleted. However, one must distinguish that part from the part where someone states they aren't looking for a serious relationship; there is a wide spectrum in between.

What your advertisement leaves as a possibility is: a polygamous relationship, a third party for experimentation, or an open relationship. I must admit, I don't recall any ad from a couple seeking to meet someone specifically for the purpose of a polygamous relationship.
I just consulted with my colleague who handles most of the Advertisements, and his stance is that if this were truly a serious ad from a couple living in a polygamous relationship or marriage, we would have to decide what to do based on the actual text and the implicit message it sends.

Regarding seeking new people to practice open relationships, my colleague's view is negative, and I agree with him. Not because we personally have anything against such a lifestyle choice, but because such ads usually operate under the premise of seeking others for sexual experimentation. If a person were seeking exclusively friendship, they would state that. Seeking sexual experimentation is contrary to Rule 3.

Any kind of swinging, cuckolding, sexual experimentation outside of a marriage/relationship, FMM, or MFF—no.

Furthermore, you shouldn't worry too much about the other ads. It is impossible for the rules to cover absolutely every single possibility. That is actually mentioned in the introductory post under 'Special Note.' In this instance, we decided to delete your ad.

so we are looking for another girl to keep us warm on winter nights. Would that be OK then?!

I can't give you an answer off the top of my head.
We would need to see the ad itself, in black and white, along with its entire context.
But in principle, if a couple posts an ad looking for a girl to keep them warm on freezing winter nights: my colleague is against it, and I am as well.

You are inconsistent and subjective (though I hesitate to call you hypocritical).

That isn't accurate.
We are only human, and I am the first to admit that we all make mistakes. However, I would never claim to be subjective. What I can say quite plainly is that I don't believe in burying my head in the sand; when an issue arises, I make it my business to address it directly.

We aren't going to discuss hypocrisy—we simply refuse to engage in that kind of debate. 😉

I am once again formally requesting that the moderators restore our advertisement.

I have already informed you of the return procedure.

slučaj da I suppose one might find some sense of peace in such things, though I find the concept rather elusive. I suppose it is entirely possible that one of the admins holds an opinion that runs contrary to ours.

That was the reality for the person who reported the post, for me personally, for my colleagues, for you, and for Sophia Thomas7.

At this rate, we could sit here debating until tomorrow, but I don't see any point in continuing.
We've all laid our cards on the table, you've shared your piece, and Bliss has already submitted her opinion; I also made sure to let Nicole Ruiz know she should take a look once she's available.

I feel the same way. On US classified sites, people are looking for companionship, dates, good conversation, or maybe even something more serious or casual hookups. But there is a massive difference between posting an ad where you leave things open to possibilities and explicitly hunting for sex. By writing your post the way you did, you went straight against the rules:
