Best gaming laptop under $2,700?

So, I'm starting to eye some new laptops.
Ideally, I'm looking for a 17" beast.

Honestly, battery life isn't really my top priority here.
What I actually care about is making sure the thing isn't loud enough to wake the neighbors and doesn't turn into a literal frying pan on my desk.
I've been eyeing a few options:
Razer Blade
Or maybe an Acer Helios 500 or 700.
Specifically looking at setups with an i9 and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070.

Look, let’s be real: no matter how much you drop on a laptop, you aren't going to successfully cool an i9 paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 or an RTX 2080. You’re just asking for thermal throttling hell. Buying a rig like that is basically lighting your money on fire.

If you want the sweet spot for a 144hz FHD setup, go with an i7 paired with an RTX 2060. That combo is plenty to keep you cruising above 120fps in pretty much everything you throw at it. Since the laptop won't be choking on heat like those high-end monsters, you'll actually end up with equal—if not better—performance than someone lugging around an i9 + RTX 2070 mess. Aside from the CPU and GPU, just make sure you grab 16GB of RAM and at least a 512GB SSD.

Now that we've cleared that up, I guess your options are wide open. If you're feeling lost, a Dell is always a solid bet. Yeah, you'll pay a bit more upfront, but the cooling is way better, which means you actually get the performance you paid for.
