We ought to ditch those useless civics classes in American high schools and replace them with a weekly Seinfeld seminar; at least then kids might actually learn something about how life works.

Honestly, today was such a total wash that I just ended up wandering around—it was too nice out to stay inside, anyway.
Then Spotify decided to throw Microcastle my way, which I’ve definitely played a million times before, but somehow it hit completely differently this time. It was like hearing it for the first time, or maybe I was just in a weird headspace? As I was walking toward the lake, I couldn't stop my brain from playing these intense, cinematic scenes from movies in my head:

Also, can't forget this absolute noise-pop-rock masterpiece from the 2000s:

A woman walks into her doctor's office:
"Doc, I've got something in my eye."
So the doctor comes over—and ends up tearing up right along with her.

Blonde walks up to an old guy in San Francisco:
"Excuse me, sir, what time is it?"
"It's 10:47 PM, ma'am."
"Well, now, eight hundred..."

It reminds me of this one time I was sitting on a bus, just traveling somewhere. It was broad daylight, and I was glued to the window with my headphones cranked up, listening to Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

I just sat there staring out at the landscape, and the clouds looked so surreal, like they were part of some heavy psychedelic trip—not the actual trip I was on, but the kind of visual distortion you get after dropping something. Ever since then, I don't mix looking out a window with GY! 😁

What does the zoo director tell the rookie keeper when the crowds are already lining up and she still hasn't managed to wake up the star jaguar?
He tells her: "Be strong, girl."
It’s easiest to just cry.*

*From Remarque's 'All Quiet on the Western Front,' in case anyone hasn't actually read anything lately! )))

Two guys are chilling in a room.
The phone rings in the next room, so one of them goes to answer it—handles the call, comes back, and finds the walls absolutely covered in cum.
"Damn, baby, what happened while I was gone?"
"Mickey, don't be mad, I just let one rip."

Some guys from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith showed up at Pope Francis's place to dig around and archive some stuff about him.

They ask him:
"Francis, are you a Jesuit?"
"What?! If I am, my canary is gonna lose its feathers!"

So they head over to Francis's office for a cigar and a glass of port—only to find his canary in there, plucking its own feathers and desperately muttering, "I don't give a damn about feathers, I don't give a damn about feathers..."
