The Conjuring (2013)

Man, when I first saw the poster, I honestly thought maybe they’d released Dark film 5 or something... but then I actually looked at the title and was even more surprised.

So, Marlon Wayans is both the writer and one of the actors for this parody of the Paranormal Activity franchise, and it hits US theaters on January 11th, 2013.

I gotta be real though—the trailer didn't exactly blow me away or make me crack up (maybe they're just saving the good stuff for the actual movie?), but hey, it’s Marlon Wayans and it's the first big official take on Paranormal Activity, so I guess I'm holding out hope it'll be decent.

Besides Marlon, the cast has some pretty recognizable names too: Nick Swardson, David Koechner, and Cedric the Entertainer.

I caught this at the theater the other day; I’d highly recommend it. For me, it was quite excellent...

Don't bother. It's a Los film. Just cheap comedy built on toilet humor... way too dragged out.

I was basically peeing myself laughing at almost every single scene. Honestly, I went in thinking it would be one of those movies where there’s maybe one funny moment and then the rest is just total garbage—like some cheap parody—but man, was I wrong. It actually turned out to be legit. I'm really glad I gave it a shot, and I'd definitely recommend it if you're just looking to have a good laugh. 😁

Caught a bit of it a little while ago. I don't know, man. When you're just sitting there by yourself watching this stuff, it’s not exactly a riot.

Yeah, look, it’s definitely cheap laughs and all that—low-brow stuff, I guess—but it’d probably go over fine if you were hanging out with a group of friends. If I ever decided to give it another watch, I’d definitely make sure I wasn't alone.

There are a few scenes in there where you might actually crack a smile, though. 🙂

didn't crack a smile once, just total garbage
