Would you be so kind as to reopen the discussion thread upon your arrival at the audio battlefield? I believe I could exert some beneficial influence on the direction of this conversation before it devolves into an absolute swamp. This is regardless of your own optimistic outlook, though I find your current stance somewhat problematic given the legacy left behind by our former moderator, Tim Cook.
I formally accept your premise that being right is secondary to maintaining a rigid structure to prevent total collapse—which, quite frankly, is exactly what happened (take the case of Route 99, which is being penalized without any legitimate justification). However, there is a higher principle at play here: the pursuit of truth and the struggle against those who harass critical thinkers through their own ignorance, whether accidental or intentional. The cheap rhetorical tricks employed by MrBeast achieved nothing whatsoever.
There is a staggering abundance of examples showcasing the bias and primitive behavior of the opposition. Even when you attempt to engage them civilly,

it follows that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and their own version of the truth, but one should not force it upon others unless they possess irrefutable arguments that anyone could verify.

As a long-standing participant, I recall reports that an individual was gifting cables to former moderators (not for Tim Cook, mind you), while it is patently obvious that the same person was posting under a clone account that has since been banned. It is enough to simply note that they lack even a basic understanding of what a VU meter is or how it functions.
Beyond a mere lack of experience, they possess no grasp of the elementary principles of this field... much like someone who takes offense at a common colloquialism and immediately declares themselves a world-class expert.

I remain hopeful that we will find sufficient time for actual dialogue.
Someone ought to watch your back, given that your intentions seem genuinely good. W. G. Marshall

Thank you for your time.

Huge props to Tim Cook for all the effort he put in—he could’ve been way stricter if he wanted to, but he was a human being first and a moderator second, which is why I respect him. I also totally get why he had to step down; honestly, I wouldn't touch that job even if they were paying me 😁
On the flip side, I think the permanent ban on my buddy Route99 is overkill. Unless there's actual proof he was acting differently than everyone else on the forum, I say lift the ban.

I find myself indebted to Tim Cook for his sheer effort and dedication, though I cannot honestly assert that his judgment was equitable. Or even remotely fair.
There have been several "exceptionally" insightful posts that received what I consider to be my modest, appropriate responses... yet Tim Cook remained strictly tethered to the rules regarding insults.
Perhaps he operated under the assumption that the old guard deserves more leverage than the newcomers, though that is merely my own observation.
Even Route99 has repeatedly alleged that I am some sort of clone or extension of him... an assertion that is patently false.
All things considered, it would be nothing short of correct if Tim Cook were to step down; both his detractors and mine would have long since been tossed into the recycling bin—not because of their phrasing, but due to their pervasive incompetence.
The issue isn't a simple lack of knowledge; it is the active dissemination of ignorance. Some people actually bother to read and attempt to accomplish things. That is the core issue, rather than this concept of "us."
One truly owes Tim Cook a debt of gratitude for his labor, but I suppose perhaps he felt there was no better way to civilize us all... even if I remained quite mild in my approach.

Both sides think they’re getting a raw deal, but let’s be real—our own feelings are getting in the way here, so objectivity is basically out the window. Personally, I don't think Tim Cook can actually prove he was being any more rude or out of line than the rest of the users on this board. Sure, he was more blunt—he definitely was—but he’s still miles more polite than half the guys here whose insults are barely tolerable even at a local dive bar, yet somehow they aren't permanently banned despite deserving it ages ago.

I think Tim Cook and Dub should give Jerry Robinson56 another shot.

Dear Jerry Robinson56,

I appreciate the kind wishes, but I’m going to have to decline your gentlemanly offer. I am perfectly capable of looking out for myself. 😉

I truly hope those good intentions extend beyond today's ban, and I trust they will persist even after the inevitable future ones that follow whenever you decide to insult your opponents.

You don't know me, yet I've been forced to study your entire body of work here on PŽK because, in my capacity as a moderator, I have to keep an eye on this subforum. Consequently, your modus operandi is crystal clear to me: a pattern of intelligent discourse interspersed with insults, and it's obvious you have no intention of stopping.
Given that this exact cycle has repeated itself for years upon years, and seeing as you clearly understand exactly why one receives a sanction, I see no reason to keep pointing out the obvious. You aren't going to change, so we shall simply see how our interactions proceed from here.

On a separate note, I would kindly ask everyone—not just the participants in this thread, but those in adjacent ones and all newcomers alike—to refrain from gossiping about Tim Cook or any other members of this community. I don't know you people, and frankly, you aren't doing yourselves any favors by making such first impressions.

You're saying there's no proof?
Maybe there isn't, just like you claim... but here's the reality: the AV Tech subforum used to be the most chill, normal place on this entire site...
Before you and Route99 showed up and started picking fights with the regulars, it was fine. Then, eventually, a bunch of others joined in on the chaos...
You guys trashed half the threads in that sub and chased away a massive group of people who simply didn't have the patience to deal with your constant bickering...

I'm not saying the crowd on "the other side" are saints, but it's interesting how there were zero issues with them until you and Route99 arrived...

I used to read that sub regularly for ten years straight, but since you two started clashing with everyone, I haven't had the stomach for it.
Personally, I don't care about the audio scene at all—I'd never drop serious cash on high-end cables—but I'm not going to yell at the people who actually enjoy it...

Now I'm seeing these "new" users popping up in these threads over the last few days—people I've never seen before, despite being a regular in the AV section. 😕
Why haven't I seen them? Because I steer clear of audio threads like the plague...

One really ought to ask whether the individuals arriving here actually possess any expertise.
I was absent for nearly a year, and I can tell you—and certainly prove it—that the opponents you see, who clearly aren't much to write home about, haven't the slightest clue regarding the audio sector or electronics.

And I can demonstrate this in any of their posts, whether they are former members or newcomers. Tim Cook has wiped out a vast sea of my posts—posts from which one could have learned a great deal—yet continues to leave up the insults of mediocre detractors. However, the purpose of this thread was to reopen a discussion that the esteemed moderator saw fit to close. She is within her rights not to waste time in such a manner, but the underlying premise remains justice. If someone wanders off course, they should immediately $33 without any sales tax 😁
It goes from being completely cool to being a total fool.
I happened to stumble upon a mountain of nonsense and idiocy from "your" elite circle, despite the fact that my audio equipment is far superior to all of theirs combined. I have listened to systems where even the youngest salesperson in that "boutique" drives a Porsche 911... (Swiss style), while the others are cruising in Lamborghinis and Ferraris.
A friend of mine associated with them because he shares their interest in esotericism; for just 50 bucks (barely enough to cover the cost, since we spent more than that on wine every single time), he could borrow absolutely anything over a weekend, often several pieces at once.
There is no need to mention what the lowest price for certain devices was.
Just as I possess measurement equipment that allows me to quantify everything. Should I explain how those very same people don't even know the names of basic components? And as for their understanding of topologies, one would die laughing; they are quite literally uneducated, regardless of whatever level of school or university they supposedly attended.
As for the culture of behavior or writing, I shall refrain, as there is a distinct difference between being proactive and being provocative. When the intelligent constantly yield, the fools end up ruling the world...
The intelligent members of this forum have no issue with me, regardless of the fact that they give me the cold shoulder to prevent me from thinking otherwise.

That is my stance, my opinion, and my conclusion. Individuals like those who have your support are doing incredible damage in every sense, including to their own "products."
I understand that a forum is not the place to correct a crooked Mississippi River, nor does it amuse me, because those same people would find themselves speechless much faster in the real world...
You are accusing Megan Green72 and Route99 entirely without justification. Everyone has the right to self-help when a moderator fails to react to obvious issues.
That is why you ended up with a fraud like Rimac mat in the States... (the moderator excluded me for personal reasons), ha! And yet, there wasn't a single warning or notification regarding a partial ban...
Fine, perhaps it is some forum rule, but everything I have written still stands.

Look, you can try to pin this on me all you want, but here’s the real deal—the actual issue is that my colleagues can't handle anyone popping their little bubble. They've been coming at me with every dirty tactic in the book just because I won't play along. Even with all that crap, I actually managed to stay decent—meanwhile, everyone else was busy acting like total jerks whenever they felt like it. Honestly, that alone tells you everything you need to know. The real problem? These people have massive egos and zero ability to talk to someone who doesn't think exactly like them. That's it. Period.

I hope those good intentions remain even after today’s disciplinary action, and that they persist through future warnings that will inevitably follow if you continue to insult your opponents.

You don't know me, yet I have been forced to familiarize myself with your body of work here on PŽK, as I must monitor this sub-forum in my capacity as a moderator. Consequently, your modus operandi is very clear to me: periods of intellectual discourse interspersed with insults, from which I see you never deviate.
Given that this exact pattern has played out for years, and considering you clearly understand the implications of receiving a warning, I see no reason to reiterate what is already common knowledge. You aren't going to change, so we shall simply see how our interactions proceed.

Furthermore, I would kindly ask everyone—not just the participants in this thread, but those in neighboring ones and all future users—to refrain from gossiping about Tim Cook or other forum members. I do not know you, and forming these first impressions does not serve you any favors.

Thanks for getting back to me.
My posts are always civil until the nonsense starts coming from the other side; at that point, they become targeted and educational, though regarding the post you flagged, I would welcome a different perspective.
Absolutely no individual was mentioned; such an interpretation only arises from those who are being exclusionary. Please, look at it objectively. If you take a second look, you will see it was "different" than you perceived. There is no need to go straight to banning.
I am not entirely certain (if you catch my drift), and you know this, but could you specify exactly who that post was directed toward?

The technical portion was explained in detail and dismantles the claims of those hiding behind personal impressions, providing them a straightforward path to the truth.
The section you focused on follows the American style of writing—clarifying the issue and providing answers to the difficulties faced by opponents of reality.

We can speak informally.

I have no intention of writing about "myself" here; the goal is to ensure you have the ability to negotiate on your PDF regardless of whether you occupy a dominant position.
I am sorry you were forced to act, but it was worth it, wasn't it?
It is the same story regarding consistency; whether everything I read was incorrect... it is merely forecasting, as I perceive certain things more clearly than others, much like how I acknowledge there will always be people more skilled or intelligent than those already mentioned.
To summarize, this isn't "gossip." I wasn't complaining against completely unjustified accusations or the series of events preceding them. It is not insulting posts that bother me, but rather stupidity and monstrosities.
I was absent for nearly a year just to clarify this. However, you noticed how Formula 1 also realized something was amiss.
It is impossible to fight in that manner or in the way Tim Cook has chosen; it is a massive undertaking.
One must also understand matters that fall outside his specific domain and area.
Everyone has the right to be wrong.

Therefore, I would kindly ask you to reconsider the post you deleted; I would write the non-American portion of that post if you have no objection.
Thank you for the promises of a pleasant time.

The collector of reds

Route99 truly did not deserve such treatment, not because we are similar, but because it endured quite a lot during my time here last year.
Opponents truly lack insight and write nonsense, regardless of their subjective impressions. They then lose their way and write in a very personal, uncontrolled manner.
The moderator does not react, but everyone has the right to defend themselves with the same weapons... correct? It isn't just flame against flame; that is how you extinguish a fire.

One of their most notorious failures involves the stereo separation within the speaker cables...

Jerry Robinson56, trying to prove "the truth" isn't going to be an endless cycle, not even in this thread. It’s exhausting, it's repetitive, and it inevitably devolves into blatant insults that drive people away from the forum. Once I decide you've said all there is to say, I'm cutting the cord.

I’ve only been on this forum for two days, and while everything is still fresh to me, quite frankly, the constant arguing and nitpicking over testing protocols is already getting on my nerves.

I can restore your post, but only if we strip out the problematic section—if you're okay with that. I'll be keeping the original version available for the administration to review, so if they decide you weren't actually insulting colleagues who hold opposing views, feel free to appeal the warning.

But let me be clear: you're applying the exact same logic here as you always do, and in this instance, I don't see any real difference between this and nearly all your previous warnings and appeals. At least, none of the ones I've personally read over the years.

Look, I'm not saying they know their stuff...
Honestly, I have no idea who knows what, and frankly, I don't care. It’s probably because, at its core, this whole audio tech thing doesn't interest me one bit...
I know a fair amount about cables in general (not specifically audio), and I'm pretty sure a lot of nonsense gets written about them, but not enough for me to feel the need to play the smart guy and lecture anyone...
And besides, why should I care about someone else's fun? Who am I to ruin their vibe...

But it's also a fact that before Megan Green72 and her crew showed up, nobody was even blathering on about cables or blind tests...
There was hardly any talk about audio topics in general, let alone fighting over them, insulting each other, or whatever...
I don't care who's right or wrong, but I can see this forum has turned into a total battleground over these damn cables, and it's already getting on my nerves...

I have zero intention of picking a side in this "war" of yours...
But man, both sides are driving me crazy, constantly bickering over the same old things for a solid year now across a million different topics...
In the middle of all this arguing that I just scroll past, I can't even find the posts I'd actually want to read...
Sometimes I just skip entire threads or the whole forum because all I see is arguing, more arguing, and then more freaking arguing. 🤦

I concede the point; that is precisely how I feel. Much of this feels somewhat infantile, and it would be utterly futile if there weren't a legitimate objective behind it. We need two things: an open channel of communication on this PDF, which I sincerely hope will temper our collective tone now that new blood has joined the fray (Tim Cook would likely lose his mind if he had to read all of this himself, particularly 😁).
My second premise is the reinstatement of Route99. Even Tim Cook himself has stated he would welcome the opportunity. There is no reason for him to be intimidated by harsh rhetoric; in my estimation, the individuals who were directed at Route99 by were far more vitriolic and aggressive. Their insults bear no relation to reality, expertise, or basic logic, making Route99 seem positively mild by comparison. He simply reacted to the sheer stupidity and the insults being hurled his way. Route99 understands the distinction between actual discourse and those who bluster about "light resistors"—I won't even dignify the others with a mention, as it is frankly exhausting to believe such people still exist within our educational or manufacturing systems 🤦. They lack even a shred of wit, and the moment you show them any "mercy," they regress into their old ways like addicts craving a slap in the face. And once you finally grant them the satisfaction of a heavy-handed moderator...
Ultimately, we aren't just discussing electronics; we are witnessing a multidisciplinary ignorance paired with first-rate arrogance.

The paradox is quite clear: readers purchase an amplifier for a modest sum and then attempt to "fix" the sound using cables that cost as much as the amplifier or the speakers themselves. It is pure psychology. Had they invested in a better amplifier from the start, they wouldn't face such dilemmas (interconnects are the exception, as they can indeed influence the sound until one upgrades to proper equipment). As the English say, one isn't wealthy enough to buy cheap things. If they truly intend to buy quality, Olif could provide assistance given his extensive experience. It would be ideal if Olif didn't perform these nonsensical stunts. It is worth a try, provided everything is reported honestly. We all learn from our failures, after all. However, it won't help them beyond achieving trivial results.
I certainly won't engage in such back-and-forth (anymore), because some people are simply unteachable—they believe they already "know everything." Besides, when reading, I observe how they treat others as well.

That is the crux of the matter. Thank you for reaching out; it is precisely people like you who matter...

Casey Bennett said:Jerry Robinson56, attempting to prove an absolute "truth" is a bottomless pit. It certainly doesn't work on a message board. It is exhausting, repetitive, and inevitably devolves into crude insults, which ultimately drives people away from the forum. I have been on this forum for two days, and while everything is still fresh to me, even now, this constant bickering over testing protocols is becoming quite taxing.

However, I must reiterate: you are applying the same pattern of behavior that has characterized almost all of your warnings and subsequent appeals. At least, based on what I have read over the past several years.

Thank you, Dub. Please, go ahead and remove the American portion of the response. I have no objection to the warning; I was simply interested in your perspective...
in order to avoid future disputes, though you know how I am
when it comes to disciplinary actions.
There is no need to analyze me; you won't be making a mistake when you issue a warning. When I have protested, there was usually a valid reason. Most of the time, I haven't even bothered to protest because there was no necessity—mea culpa.
But if you were to look at the threads where I earned partial bans, I doubt you wouldn't support me, even though I didn't complain. The moderators have repeatedly permitted personal insults. My partial ban on the PZ thread occurred because I insulted a chemist discussing a professor from MIT who is misleading the public (Soljačić—the new Tesla... well, you see), and on the Economics thread, it was regarding the fraud Rimac, simply because the moderator has personal biases. What is most laughable is that this very same moderator boasts about graduating from FER, yet possesses no fundamental understanding of high school level electrical engineering.
It is the same old story: highly educated individuals, well-funded by questionable means.

My apologies for derailing the thread, but I hope it has at least prompted some reflection.

Regarding the gentlemanly offer, it was specifically technical assistance—not directed at my response, but toward the irrelevant nonsense being peddled by certain "enlightened resistors" who pretend to possess culture or intellect. Once you have read it, perhaps you might share it if you feel inclined, as that is the root of this "conflict," rather than personal feelings. Am I being clear now?

Route99 and I have never contradicted anyone's personal experiences or desires; rather, we have pointed out the sheer idiocy being presented in these threads. We are merely trying to be helpful.

Here is another post just to illustrate what happens when well-meaning individuals meddle in matters far outside their expertise, all in an attempt to defend people on their various social media feeds.
You could find dozens of similar examples within those PDFs you are responsible for managing.
It is a difficult and thankless task, but even the authors themselves have wasted significant time purely for the sake of self-promotion or vanity production. As I have stated before: when the intelligent remain silent, the fools take control.

I feel compelled to offer a brief response. Our colleague, the Formula 1 driver, is absolutely correct here.
What Jerry Robinson56 and Megan Green72 are attempting to orchestrate is nothing more than a resurrection of the user Route99—strictly to bolster their numbers for causing chaos on the audio and video boards.

Jerry Robinson56 is a user who, as far as I am aware, holds the record for the longest ban on this entire site (a full month)—and then proceeded to vanish for nine months before resurfacing just now. One can only imagine what kind of behavior warrants such a lengthy suspension.

Now that he has returned, apparently fully recharged, he intends to assemble a little squad to work alongside... him on those aforementioned boards.

As for Route99, he was permanently banned because his rhetoric—targeted mostly at the user Olif—was, to put it mildly, inhumane. Even as a mere bystander reading his posts rather than being the target himself, I found it deeply unsettling to read. Truly unpleasant. Believe me when I say you do not want a character like that back in our midst.

I suggest you read between the lines regarding the true intentions of Jerry Robinson56 and Megan Green72.

Everything the Formula 1 driver stated stands; there was peace and order here until the arrival of Megan Green72, followed shortly by a handful of others.

If this earns me a warning, so be it. What I have said is the plain truth, spoken with the sole intention of ensuring this forum remains a pleasant and civilized space.

Do try to maintain some semblance of focus Jesse Brown61, because your own rhetoric provides more evidence against you than any argument I could ever muster, and I truly appreciate you confirming everything already stated.
The truth is often uncomfortable, and let’s be clear: there will always be individuals who are sharper than both of us, much younger and better looking, while we both occupy that middle ground of middle age. You aren't here to receive any accolades.
Regardless of the quality of the participants, the subject matter itself remains noble. As for you, I cannot offer any praise; you seem quite content to indulge in your own nonsense, a fact I have demonstrated and remain fully capable of proving at any time.
However, I suppose you serve as a useful negative example to ensure I am not accused of bias.

-

My original thread and your posts—some of which were relatively mild by comparison.

Feel free to produce one of my comments that supposedly "struck a nerve" if you wish to validate your own delusions.

I happened to be halfway across the world under the Southern Cross, which explains my absence. Furthermore, I failed to find any evidence of a Flat Earth to satisfy your particular brand of information.

By the way, don't bother regarding Olif; he struggles to interpret his own extensive experience, which is his own misfortune. He is generally fine, and it would certainly benefit him to adopt this mode of expression, but you, Jesse Brown61, are utterly lost in this arena. You lack both semantic and logical footing. And I suspect that isn't your only deficiency. Not that I am in any position to offer you any consolation.
Farewell.

Greetings, gentlemen. Feel free to contribute whatever thoughts or observations you deem necessary.

You haven’t quite grasped the essence of "faith." To those possessing true intellect, such individuals are seen as witty; to everyone else, they are perceived as terrifying. If you take a moment to examine your own words, you will see how clearly you contradict yourself. Rather than cultivating that latent talent you possess, you seem intent on throwing yourself into unnecessary brawls—a course of action I wouldn't recommend to anyone, myself included, nor would I suggest it in any practical sense. I won't go any further with this, I promise you, unknown, as I was already cautioned against it. Furthermore, there is a fundamental distinction between genuine dialogue or opposing viewpoints supported by logic, and what you are doing. unknown It is quite evident that you lack any substantive reasoning beyond your own ego. Every time I attempt to dismantle your supposed "logic" using established professional standards, you simply spiral into a state of complete incoherence.
Perfection is an illusion, and frankly, a rather exhausting one at that. No one is flawless.
That thread was essentially tailor-made for you, designed specifically to help you find some semblance of civility... though it seems that particular endeavor hasn't exactly been your forte, has it?
By all means, just keep writing. unknownExperience is the only teacher that doesn't charge tuition, though the cost of the lessons can be quite steep. One learns most effectively through failure—both one's own blunders and the avoidable mistakes made by others. It is the only way to truly grasp the reality of a situation.

P.S. A quick inquiry regarding the moderator position. unknown
Am I permitted to attach a 500-point post here? I am fully aware that this violates the established rules, yet I maintain that I have earned this space. Furthermore, I have already voiced my formal grievances regarding the decisions made by unknown. After months of forced patience, I find it necessary to present the unvarnished truth in response to such utter nonsense. unknown-a. Tiče sa unknown And his claims.
I would honestly accept a sentence of a hundred dollars and a week of silence, if I were permitted. It seems like it might serve some sort of purpose, though I am fully aware that such notions are ultimately futile. Nevertheless, if even unknown were to grant consent, I would provide mine, given how truly "terrible" his situation supposedly was.

I’m reading this and I honestly can’t believe my eyes!

Even here in the ban corner, we’re still dealing with the constant insults coming from @Saugaro.

Let me reiterate what I’ve already laid out:

1. I’ve been a member of this forum for nearly 12 years now. And for almost everything up until less than two years ago, there were hardly any issues at all regarding constant insults, unpunished trolling, and things of that nature. Back then, if an issue did arise, the moderator (the one who preceded @Tikija) would shut it down immediately. We had disagreements—which is perfectly normal—but they always stayed within the bounds of a civil discussion.
Personally, during that entire period, I never received a single warning regarding insults or trolling (though in these last two years, I have, mostly because I was pushing back against even harsher insults from the other side).

2. Ever since @Saugaro showed up (I won't get into his supposed "expertise" or that "world-class system" he keeps boasting about without actually showing anyone), the open insults, the belittling of others, and the condescending attitude toward fellow members began.
Warnings and bans followed, but this user hasn't changed one bit.

3. Then came an even worse "situation" involving—as he used to call him—the "highly respected and esteemed" user @Roure 99.
The level of ad hominem attacks he pulled was just... wow.!!
If some specialist in "behavioral issues" were to read this... well, I'll leave it at that...
He specifically targeted me. It felt like he was stalking my Facebook profile... 😁
I suppose it bothered him that I've been around for so long and that I've spent countless posts trying to help people with advice.
I shared as much as I knew (and I've received plenty of thanks for doing so).
Despite multiple warnings from @Tikija (for instance, being told, "Hey, this isn't a forum about you," etc.) and several bans, he just tuned it all out and kept going right along as usual.
His return is going to be absolute chaos !!!!!!!

4. All of the above has resulted in people avoiding this forum altogether—people who actually want to learn something about components they're looking to buy, ask questions about how things work, and so on. There used to be so many more people here. And that is one of the primary purposes of forums like this.

5. As for the rest of the "subjective" group (maybe 2 or 3 members) with whom I engage in a lot of "unproductive" debates over less critical matters (blind tests, audible differences in cables, etc.), I won't dwell on them too much, because there might still be hope that things can improve there.

That's all from me. Thanks.
