Underrated or obscure artists and bands you discovered by accident?

That is exactly what I’ve been chewing on, I just couldn't quite put my finger on the right words for it. His emotional delivery while singing doesn't strike me as genuine or spontaneous; it feels calculated, like it's part of a scripted routine. Compare that to Lara—she’s just as technically gifted, sure, but she feels completely raw and sincere. I "feel" every single word she sings, regardless of which language she’s using.
Look, I’m not claiming this is an objective fact, it’s strictly just my own take on it.
Since we're talking about Lara... her cover of Carus actually hits me harder than the original. It's a perfect example of pure, unadulterated emotion. She basically made that song her own (with all due respect to Lucia).

Yeah, I have to admit, Lara has this incredible voice—it’s almost angelic, honestly. She’s a truly phenomenal vocalist. I've spent some time listening to her solo tracks as well as those duets she did with Dimash. Apparently, he’s quite a fan of hers, too, since he actually covered a few of her songs.

This track always puts me in a better mood.
Ayers was a founding member of Soft Machine in the mid-1960s, and was closely associated with the Canterbury scene. He recorded a series of albums as a solo artist and over the years worked with Brian Eno, Syd Barrett, Bridget St John, John Cale, Elton John, Robert Wyatt, Andy Summers, Mike Oldfield, Nico and Ollie Halsall, among others.

I don't even know if this thread makes sense—most of these artists probably aren't even on the radar for most people here anyway.

If I had to name my recent deep dives, I'd go with Snail mail, Julien Baker, and Candy Claws. They're huge within their own genres, obviously, but outside of those circles? Most people haven't heard a peep about them.
