It’s not even about being boring for me. It just finishes way too fast.

With this director and this cast, you’d think it would be a blast. It honestly feels like it could be some kind of spiritual successor to Braveheart. 🕺

I won't spoil anything, but my biggest gripe is that the movie feels more like a TV series than a massive cinematic spectacle. Honestly though, I can't even be that mad about it.

It doesn't quite capture that same epic vibe you get from Braveheart, but honestly, it’s still a solid piece of filmmaking in a lot of ways.
The real issue is there's just way too many characters, and we don't even get a chance to meet all of them.

My biggest gripe with the movie? Honestly, you can totally see where they chopped things out. It looks way too obvious. Plus, I’m really counting on that final thirty minutes to actually make up for it.

I'm giving it a solid 7.5/10.

The movie feels a bit overstretched, though I suppose I enjoy this kind of subject matter. The battle scenes are solid, and the landscapes of Scotland are beautiful enough.😍
The beach setting is quite romantic, and I liked the Elizabeth Def character. Plus, the flower gesture he makes is a total callback to Braveheart.🙂

Really great movie..
It’s light years ahead of anything else we've seen in this genre lately.. and honestly, the series is on that same level too..
Regarding those themes..
The execution is just solid. It avoids all that cheap, over-the-top sentimentality you usually see in these types of productions.. The plot moves along linearly without any awkward stumbles.. It works..

Finally, I can watch a film where the CGI actually serves the story instead of looking like some low-budget video game.. Especially during those action sequences toward the end..

I have to say, I'm genuinely surprised by how good this turned out..
