It’s a live-action take on the 1992 Disney classic, which itself was inspired by those old Arab folk tales from One Thousand and One Nights and that French version by Antoine Galland. The movie stars Mena Massoud as Aladdin, alongside Naomi Scott, Will Smith, Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Nasim Pedrad, Billy Magnussen, and Numan Acar.

Nothing really jumps out at me from this teaser trailer... I just hope Guy Ritchie actually pulled it off.

Disney's Aladdin special look

I've officially run out of patience for this kind of garbage.

I honestly don't get why they decided to cast Black actors for this movie in the first place. Every single one of these characters is supposed to be Arab. Will Smith just doesn't fit the part at all when you're talking about Arab heritage.

I mean, Will Smith is playing the Genie. Honestly, I still can't wrap my head around that decision. It just doesn't sit right with me.

That was a fantastic trailer, truly impressive, and I suspect it won't have any trouble clearing the billion-dollar mark at the box office 😁 even if Will Smith isn't rocking blue hair the entire time, which actually turned out quite brilliantly in the end

This trailer is 10,000,000x better than the last one! Honestly—even Smith doesn't look tragic here!

Just more Anglo-American corporate kitsch—the kind of garbage that, honestly, should probably be banned along with 90% of Hollywood productions—because it just melts the brains of young kids who haven't even developed those cognitive filters yet... you know, that mental defense system needed to block content specifically designed to lower your IQ.

After this mess, I really hope Guy returns to his mafia roots.
