Honestly, it’s the exact same people who convinced him that his position was fine—even though he was clearly tearing it up and leaving everyone else in the dust!

He got caught because he was crossing the border
if he’d just driven normally, he would've caught up to Fernando Alonso—maybe even passed him
if he'd actually listened to the crew and just eased off the gas a bit
