Gaming PC Build Ideas

Got this deal for a potential build.
1. ASUS Prime Z370-P motherboard, Intel Z370, DDR4, audio, G-LAN, SATA, M.2, PCI-E 3.0, HDMI, USB 3.1, ATX, LGA 1151 - $310
2. Intel Core i3 8100 processor, 3600 MHz, quad core, Socket 1151 - $347
3. PC-19200 RAM, 8 GB, Corsair Vengeance, HX424C15FBK2/8, DDR4 2400 MHz, 2x4GB kit - $320
4. 240.0 GB SanDisk Plus SSD, SATA3, 2.5", up to 530/440 MB/s - $233
5. nvidia 1050 ti 4gb - roughly $333

I need this setup for gaming. My budget is pretty much +/-$1667, though I’d love some room to upgrade things later on if I have to.
Any advice is appreciated.

Seems overpriced to me, though that GPU looks like a steal.
Maybe just try grabbing the card on its own at that price.

Everything here is brand new from the store, but isn't that CPU a bit weak for a gaming rig? Would a GTX 1060 2GB be a better call instead?
Should they have put something else in there?

Every single part is priced about 150-$67 higher than what you'd find at the standard shops in New York City.

Makes sense, everything here in a smaller town feels way more expensive than it does in New York City. 😁

Also, if this GPU is a good deal, should I just grab it solo? Like, if I head to a local shop to pick up the rest, would they even let me swap it in for me? Do people actually do that?
Or is it better to just hunt down the best prices online and find someone to put it all together?

I'm from a small town too. Where are you shopping? If you're looking at a local corner store, stay away... prices there are a joke.

Look, you can just hit up some computer shops in Washington, D.C., and have them build the whole rig for you before shipping it straight to your door. It saves you from having to mess around with building it yourself or dealing with the headache of shipping individual parts.

The GTX 1650 is roughly around $467 at current market prices, making it a solid value for about $333. Just make sure you're actually getting a GTX 1650 and that it’s brand new.

By the way, the Core i3-10100 isn't some weak link for gaming; it's perfectly fine, basically performing on par with an i5 from the previous generation.
You might get a bit more bang for your buck with a Ryzen 3 3200G at that price point, but it's pretty much a wash compared to the Core i3-10100—the motherboard just tends to run a little pricier for AMD builds.

Can someone help me put together a gaming build? I'm looking at one version with this GTX 1650 for maybe $1k by $1667, but honestly, if spending an extra hundred bucks makes a massive difference in performance, I'm down for that.
I know I'm overthinking this, but I heard the Ryzen 5 2600 has decent integrated graphics, so maybe I could just roll with that until prices drop (or if this GTX 1650 turns out to be a rip-off :P). If I go that route, I might just dump the extra cash into more RAM so I can actually run things smoothly.
I don't really need a huge hard drive, just a 240GB SSD should do the trick.

Also, what's the deal with liquid cooling? Is it actually worth the money?
