It's a bit of a bummer when you realize the rain isn't coming to save us, because then we're stuck dealing with Pastor Maldonado.
If that plan falls through too, we can always count on Felipe Massa and a well-timed Safety Car to shake things up.

Honestly, it would be best if all the leaders just went at it and knocked each other out. It’s high time Karthikeyan grabbed a gold medal; I am certain he would take first place without question, provided the drivers from the top nine teams decided to sit this one out! 🤣

Hamilton’s take after qualifying: "I'm happy for Pastor; he's done a lot this season and his talent is obvious. But I really don't want to run into him on Sunday, and I hope he stays clear of me too. As long as the start goes smoothly, we'll be fine. I'm sure Maldonado knows there are title contenders circling him, so hopefully, he won't just dive into everything at once." 🤣

Honestly, everyone up front tomorrow is probably just praying they make it through Turn 1 without a scratch... 😬

Mercedes and Lotus are going to struggle with tire degradation during the simulations....
Nico Rosberg might be particularly vulnerable. Michael is holding up okay and seems to be managing his wear linearly, but over at Nice, there's this sudden drop in performance...
Formula 1 is looking good regarding tire management... It's a shame Hulkenberg couldn't fight for a spot in the top 10, but maybe this strategy isn't the worst. Starting the first stint on the hards, followed by more hards... then finishing with an SS match.
That feels like the best way to handle those teams trailing behind that are burning through their rubber too fast.

I’d personally go with a three-stop strategy.
1. Pit stop on lap 12—switching from SS to S.
2. Pit stop on lap 32—switching from S to S.
3. Pit stop on lap 50—switching from S back to SS.

That's how I see it playing out. A two-stop strategy feels a bit too optimistic to me, though maybe I'm off base.

Where on earth did you get the idea that would actually work?🤣🤣🤣

The drivers from the top 11 teams plus Pedro would have to drop out... and even then, you still have to wonder if he’d actually win or just slam straight into a wall. 😬

I guess Mercedes will start off strong again, but they might find themselves struggling to stay afloat during the final third of the race. It felt like a pretty strange call today not to set a time in Q3 at all. Maybe they know something we don't? 🙂

Yeah, regarding those strugglers at the back, I feel like they might be the most frustrating bunch in Formula 1 history. These Cosworth engines are almost tragicomic.

Honestly, I’m low-key terrified for tomorrow's start and whatever crazy stunt Pastor Maldonado pulls...

Lewis has a car that's clearly a class above the rest—but honestly, I think whoever in the top 10 nails that wet-to-dry transition setup is the one actually walking away with the win. Expect some massive gambles from a few teams here.

A night race, a street circuit, and rain? It’s basically a recipe for total chaos.

sec, what if it actually ends up raining?
God forbid—I barely managed to convince my girl to leave me alone for these 2 hours so I can watch this masterpiece in peace.

I'm convinced nine would be plenty. Narain is a massive talent; he's just waiting for the right moment to prove it! 🤣

Does anyone actually know what the chances of rain look like today?

Personally, I expect the start to feel a lot like what we saw at Monaco earlier this year. Honestly, I think that penalty handed to Romain Grosjean was a bit much. It won't take much for his adrenaline to kick in and send things sideways. And don't even get me started on Pastor. We might even see some wildcards causing chaos in the mix—maybe someone like Vitaly Petrov or Kamui Kobayashi?

This race is really dragging on, isn't it? I have a feeling we're going to see a Safety Car soon. If things go right, Fernando Alonso might just snatch a podium spot, though honestly, I think a win is probably out of reach for him today.
As for the start, I wouldn't be surprised if Fernando manages to pull a fast one on the Buttplug. It’s also going to be fascinating to watch the battle for positions 9 through 14—there could be some serious chaos in that mid-pack scramble.
I’m expecting Pastor Maldonado and Romain Grosjean to have a "good" showing, mostly because they seem to be under the microscope with the stewards lately.
Then you've got Kamui Kobayashi, who’s sitting pretty low on the grid right now; he might just try to make a bold move and dive into a gap.😉

It shouldn't be an issue... the only rain we saw was in Singapore around 2 PM, and that was pretty much it.

Well, now they're actually predicting snow right in the middle of the race.

I guess those isolated lightning bolts are just Jenson Button activating his DRS.

Honestly, why are some of you spending every race weekend calculating possible
triangles or four-way collisions? It’s almost like you're watching Formula 1 just to see the wrecks.
Sure, most of it is just harmless fun, but be careful not to invite bad vibes;
you might actually end up feeling guilty if a nasty crash 🤔
actually happens. It can be entertaining when someone gets squeezed off into the grass, but
don't go wishing for accidents at this circuit 🙂
