Looking back at previous tracks that share a similar layout to this one, I don't have much faith in the Sauber cars. My experience tells me that on technical tracks with lots of low-speed corners, Williams usually holds an edge over them. And since FI-am had those tests, they might have even shaved a tenth or two off their lap times.
I'm really looking forward to Sunday... I think it's going to be a great race.

Sauber performs really well in fast turns, which is exactly what you get at Monza.

This could actually be a fun one—Grosjean is back, and even Maldonado managed to stay out of trouble last race 😁

Singapore is more like Valencia—mechanically demanding, bumpy, tricky grip... especially when exiting corners, plus the braking stability.

Sauber? Sauber definitely lacks single-lap pace. They didn't have it in Valencia either.
Poor qualifying—hardly a winning combo for a "street" circuit.

All Sauber has going for them is race pace. Or rather, they got lucky with it... what, maybe three races? Sorry, four. I forgot about Germany.

The stars aligned, and the Pirelli tires worked perfectly. It’s not like we haven't seen this exact same scenario with Maldonado or Rosberg before.

The rest is just a scrap for positions around tenth place.

Woo-hoo, look at those super-mega-gigantic-fast Saubers. ☕

If you listen to our friends over at the BBC, there's a real chance the rain might hit during qualifying, if not the race itself.

Today's F1 drivers would probably start crying for the race to be red-flagged immediately.

Honestly, nothing would make me happier than seeing today's F1 grid get absolutely roasted and mocked. Something reminiscent of last year's Canada race.

Did it even drizzle once during any part of the previous Singapore GP weekend?

Not during qualifying or the race itself—it stayed dry—though I can't say for sure about the practice sessions...

The FW has seen some minor tweaks, but let's be honest... we're just looking at tiny incremental updates. They’ve been tinkering with that unfortunate, headache-inducing FW since the Muggel era.
As for the floor, there were rumors about some changes, but I'm seeing absolutely nothing.

McLaren or maybe Lotus, if Alonso feels like it

it’ll likely be Hamilton or Grosjean. Kimi’s having a rough time in qualifying, and honestly, on a track like this, he isn't going to make up much ground during the race...
