How to download videos from sketchy websites?

I don't really mind grabbing videos from YouTube or similar sites, but I was wondering if there might be a specific program out there that lets me download video from pretty much any website? For instance, maybe from various network streaming sites (like NBC, CBS, etc.)

Unfortunately, there isn't one... you just have to hunt down specific sites that handle certain platforms. For instance, when I'm on my phone, I usually just stick to music apps like YouTube, though on mobile it kind of feels more like listening to the radio. I actually stumbled upon a site once that could pull content directly from there.

If you're really looking to scrape content from those specific sites, it’s not exactly impossible—just a headache. You’d basically need to find someone who actually knows their way around web architecture to dig out the direct video links. If they manage to crack that, someone could theoretically build an app to automate the whole downloading process... assuming enough people actually want to use it.

Honestly, I was just watching some educational programming on NBC for the kids, and it made me wonder—is there a way to download those clips?🕺

I'm already downloading stuff, so I'm all set—thanks anyway!🎉
