Directed by Doug Liman (“The Bourne Identity”, “Edge of Tomorrow” ...)
War drama, 88 min runtime

"Armed with commanding performances, striking cinematography and exceptionally well-calibrated direction, The Wall is a haunting, engrossing death march, one that’s not entirely original but also not easy to shake."

"The Wall packs a surprisingly savage punch by boiling the exploits of battle down to its essential elements."

Trailer

A fine example of how you can churn out a solid war film on a mere $3 million budget—the entire plot rests on just one character (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and a single voice (Laith Nakli). It's a minimalist screenplay approach that actually works better than expected.

I caught it, and yeah, I’m with you... the movie's actually pretty solid. Definitely worth a watch if you have the time.

Everything about this movie just feels leaky—it’s full of holes from start to finish. Honestly, that scene where he tears through those guys in the helicopter? Total B-movie trash. 👎

I’d say you’re taking this movie far too literally—it's either a small gem or a massive flop depending on how you look at it—because the script stretches reality long before any helicopter actually gets taken down. It’s the subtext, the story and the underlying message between the lines, that carries just as much weight.

Do we seriously have to drag > into every single thread? Seriously, the next person who brings it up... you already know how this ends.

Someone asked, I gave them the answer—all five... specifically the Reno 4. Quote. 😁

For a split second, I actually thought—after that helicopter goes down—we’d get a scene where the lead wakes up in a hospital bed, screaming in pure agony once he realizes it was all just a dream. Instead, we get this ending behind the wall, watching him die a slow, agonizing death from exhaustion, blood loss, and dehydration—face down in the dirt of a desert he was never supposed to step foot in.

Honestly, the movie is just pure nonsense. If you actually look at the math based on that veteran spotter’s timing (you know, if you bother counting the seconds between the impact and the sound), the guy is at least half a mile away. And from that distance, he manages to snag a radio antenna—specifically a vital component—and even a canteen while the target is doing that classic zig-zagging run to dodge sniper fire? It’s ridiculous. We’re talking about a moving target being hit by a .308 Win (7.62mm NATO), which at those ranges has a bullet drop of roughly 40 feet.

Even if Jesus Christ himself were behind the scope, there's no way he's pulling off shots like that. 😁

So, this movie's got a few plot holes here and there, honestly kind of makes you scratch your head if you think about it too much, but hey, it’s still totally worth a watch... that ending is actually pretty wild 👍

Just finished watching this... It’s alright, I guess, but man, what a missed opportunity that we didn't get to see the absolute circus. 😂
