I honestly don't get the people who are tearing this movie to shreds. I mean, wasn't the whole thing pitched from day one as a biopic focusing specifically on the final year of Al Capone's life? So... what exactly were you guys expecting? To me, the film felt incredibly raw and did a solid job showing his declining health and his headspace during those last days. Some of the scenes even had this total Lynch vibe going on—which, personally, I thought was pretty cool. And man, Thomas absolutely crushed that role. It’s such a bummer that all this negative buzz might cause him to get overlooked at the next Oscars, because honestly? This is easily the performance of his career.

This movie is pure idiocy. It’s not just mindless; it’s a transparent, desperate attempt at being "art." But it fails miserably—not a single scene comes close to anything Lincoln has ever produced, and Hardy is completely overacting.

The whole thing is incoherent, poorly structured, and just plain boring. There were so many themes to explore, yet he chose to obsess over sickness and filth? Fine, if you must, but doing it this shallowly is just pathetic. This is bottom-of-the-barrel cinema. 1/10.

How does a movie turn out this bad? It's hideous. Exactly what I feared before I even sat down to watch it.
