Can I get some help from a moderator here in the States? Is it even okay to ask why my favorite user—honestly, my biggest inspiration on this site—got a partial ban? I’m a bit lost when it comes to the rules. Is it considered rude to bring this up since I'm not talking about myself, but rather about someone I have a huge crush on?
If we aren't allowed to talk about this, that's fine. I get it. 🍿

The rule is that you can't even ask to have the partial removed until at least six months have passed. And just a heads-up: if the mod team isn't on the same page about it, the request won't go through.

Partial bans are actually permanent; they don't have an expiration date and they won't just expire on their own. Six months is more of a suggested waiting period before you even think about asking to have one lifted, but honestly, there’s absolutely no guarantee the administration will actually grant that request. It’s ultimately up to the moderators, the supermod, and the admin to make that call.

Daniel Kelly57, look, we aren't here to debate someone else's sanctions—we wouldn't even get into a discussion with you about another user's partial ban if it were the other way around. What people really need to understand is that these decisions aren't made over one or two minor slip-ups; they only happen after every single other option to try and calm a user down on the forum has been completely exhausted.
