1. I’m planning on picking up a laptop either locally in San Francisco or through an online retailer. I'd prefer to use a financing plan if possible, though I could also just pay the full amount upfront. My budget is around $400.
2. Regarding the warranty—the longer, the better. I’m also considering buying an extended service plan, but honestly, I don't know much about how those work, so I’d love some advice on whether they're actually worth it.
3. Screen size: 17.3"
4. Resolution/Usage: It's mostly for browsing the web and handling some Office tasks, so nothing too heavy-duty. I'll be using it indoors most of the time.
5. I would really like it to come with Windows 10 pre-installed.
I happen to know a professor who definitely hasn't "overused" her software license. Is there any way she could just pass it along to me? I'm a bit confused about how the licensing side of things actually works.
This one caught my eye at the moment:
Dell Inspiron 15 / Intel Core i3, DVD, 4GB, 1000GB, HD Graphics, 17.3" LED HD, camera, HDMI, LAN, USB 3.0, DOS, white
