Windows Server 2008 R2

Hi there,
I’m hitting a wall right at the start of my lab setup. I can't get Active Directory configured, which means I can't get online. I tinkered with this server a few years back, but I can't recall the specific steps, and my searches aren't turning up anything useful.
Basically, I have this server running a dual boot with Windows 10. Here’s the issue:
-Under the Network Connections settings in the Control Panel, I don't see "Local Area Connection." Instead, it just says "Broadband Connection." When I click through to the IPv4 properties like the tutorials suggest, it won't let me enter a subnet mask or a default gateway—it only gives me a field for the IP address itself.
First off, I'm not sure which IP address to use since networking isn't my specialty, and I'm stuck on how to set up the LAN. When I try to install AD, after clicking "next" twice, it throws an error saying TCP/IP isn't configured.

I've exhausted all my options. Getting internet access is my priority so I can actually research solutions when I hit a snag.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.

First off, double-check that your network card is actually installed correctly in the server OS—just make sure everything looks solid under Device Manager.
You need to see your network adapter showing up under Network Connections so you can assign it a static IP. Any unused address within your subnet should work fine (I'm guessing this is just a home setup, so something like 192.168.1.0/24).

Yeah, I've got yellow error icons showing up in Device Manager, and it is a home network.

Could I get some help here? This might seem like a silly question, but I'm stuck, and I hope I'm not being a nuisance.
Basically, I'm having a nightmare trying to get these drivers installed. I remember back when I was working with Windows Server 2012, the wireless connection worked perfectly right after installation, but here, it just won't cooperate.
Does anyone have a quick guide on how to configure the network so it actually recognizes the hardware?
