I’m totally on the same page; I thought it was a great movie right from the jump, especially those opening scenes, ☕ , and I honestly don't get why people would lump it in with those really
terrible flicks, 🤔 since its score on IMDb is sitting at a 4.9 now. Personally, I found Elizabeth Berkley incredibly captivating in this one—she just radiated this intense
sex appeal, 🙏 especially in those hot little dresses; everything about her look just worked perfectly.

Look, I don't expect satire to be some deep philosophical masterpiece, but if the goal here was to make fun of everything, they totally missed the mark. That’s the biggest blunder of this movie—the message just came out all wrong...

Setting aside the shaky script and the acting, I really want to believe that pool sex scene was actually intentional, because there’s honestly no other way to explain it. Most people find the movie entertaining simply because they get to laugh at the terrible acting, the weak writing, and whatever this "sexy" stuff was supposed to be...

Even with all the voyeurism and explicit scenes, Showgirls somehow gets labeled as a non-erotic film. Because of how they handle the main character, the whole thing feels misogynistic and exploitative. Honestly, that hits you way harder than the emptiness, immorality, or the tacky kitsch of Las Vegas ever could.

It’s not like the movie is unwatchable, but the laughs—or more accurately, the mockery—come from places the filmmakers probably didn't intend...

God help this movie. 👎

I actually grabbed a copy from a torrent ages ago. ☕

Solid movie. It really nails how hollow those industries are—they just chew you up and spit you out. One day you’re some wide-eyed newbie, the next you’re at the top, and by day three you're getting tossed down the stairs into history... basically a crystal ball for OnlyFans and stuff like that.

Honestly, the best part of this whole movie is just the poster...
I mean, that alone is practically a masterpiece.

Total trash flick that’s just nothing but gratuitous nudity. Honestly, there isn't even a plot to speak of, it's just painful

But man, the lead actress is a total knockout 👍
